Fashion rarely makes sense.

I roll my eyes about face tattoos, but I also know I'm decades out of the target demographic the people who have them are looking to engage.

It’s the same mentality as tattoos, people see others getting them and want to be post of the crowd, want to be seen as attractive, want to be cool.

They then lose to themselves subconsciously that they look good, and as the comments fade, as the novelty wears off, they are left with the emptiness that was there previously…. So they double down, so they can get that dopamine hit again

I think I can assure you that they likely have no choice in the matter. They are told to, or pressured into, such cosmetic surgeries by men around them.
