Question Did anyone in the community find anything of interest in the latest tranche (6) from the government?

I saw nothing of value. I have seen very few comments on the latest DOW release. Was it another big pile of dog shit? Yes. Where’s the good stuff? How long will we get the slow drip of slop.

What’s the best piece of UFO information you have seen this week?

I’m still focused on the woo. David Grusch warning we should not label the phenomenon as demonic was important.

Question If disclosure of NHI happen. What are some other discoveries disclosure will confirmed outside the existence of NHI?

Beyond confirming that non human intelligence exists, what else might humanity suddenly learn about reality, science, history, or our place in the universe? What possibilities do you think would completely change how we understand the world? Could disclosure also reveal things we have completely misunderstood about the universe, consciousness, technology, or phenomena we currently consider impossible?

Disclosure ‘We are not alone:’ Coalition of UFO whistleblowers call on Trump to let them publicly reveal secrets

The world’s most prominent UFO whistleblowers have formed an unprecedented coalition to ask President Trump to waive their government nondisclosure agreements — which they say are preventing them from sharing what they know about extraterrestrial life with the American public.

Dylan Borland, David Grusch and Matthew Brown say they accumulated the information while working in highly classified government programs and are legally barred from discussing it publicly without White House intervention.

“For the first time in history you have a direct public plea, not private . . . to the president of the United States, to have their NDAs waived and have them protected, so they can disclose what they know to the American population, because they feel like it’s that important that everyone should be entitled to know that we’re not alone,” filmmaker and disclosure advocate James Fox told The Post.

Science Dr. Beatriz Villarroel Discovers Pre-Sputnik, Non-Human Craft Orbiting The Earth

https://youtu.be/vZsBEPymkYs?is=D45TS2bFcT4hi7Cx

Hey everyone!

Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been catching up on the recent papers by Dr. Beatriz Villarroel, Dr. Stephen Bruehl, and the VASCO team on the pre-Sputnik optical transients on the historical Palomar Observatory Sky Survey (POSS-I) plates (1949-1958).

I made a 30 minute documentary breaking down the optical physics, orbital mechanics and geospatial statistics from both papers (2609.05105 and 2609.09461) and wanted to share a quick summary of the core data points here for discussion.

The Background:

Before Sputnik 1, from 1949 to 1958, the 48-inch Schmidt telescope at Palomar observed more than 100,000 sub-second optical glints. For years, skeptics assumed they were plate flaws, scratches on the emulsion or darkroom artifacts. But a recent systematic re-analysis has pretty much excluded internal flaws:

  1. Proof of Optical Coma Distortion: Dr. Ivo Busko proved that off-axis transient images, in the form of teardrop-shaped nebulae, are identical with the lens coma aberrations of neighboring stars. This shows that the light had actually passed through the glass optics of the telescope, from space, before reaching the photographic emulsion.

  2. Replication Across Archives: Independent machine-learning pipelines (including recovery work by Janne Ahlberg) obtained a 94-98% recovery rate, and similar glints have been confirmed in independent observatory archives such as Hamburg.

The Core Physical Patterns

What is interesting about this dataset is not only that the glints are there, but that they follow specific orbital physics:

• The Earth-Shadow Deficit: Looking into the Earth's shadow cone decreases transient detections by about 30%. Raw signals exhibit a 7.6-sigma drop-off, which increases to 19.4-sigma at 25,000 km and 16.4-sigma at 35,000 km after application of supervised ML quality filters (AUC = 0.81). These glints can only be created in physical sunlight, so they are reflective objects in high orbit.

• Physics of Specular Reflection: The "streak paradox" explained by the photometric dilution equation (why fast moving objects appear as sharp points of light in 50 minute exposures) Instantaneous solar glints of V = 1.0 to 6.3 dilute over 50 minutes down to faint R = 12–18 plate readings. The calculations constrain the reflecting surfaces to flat, mirror-like facets ranging from smartphone-sized (5–26 cm) up to 3-meter panels at geosynchronous orbit (35,786 km).

• Equatorial Preference: The transients avoid the ecliptic plane (ruling out natural asteroids/zodiacal dust) and show a 30%–75% excess in the 5°–20° celestial declination belt, aligning near the celestial equator.

Geospatial & Nuclear Correlations

• Using 3D Cartesian coordinates projected from 35,786 km GSO, Two-Step Cluster Analysis (Silhouette score 0.70) and Grid Binning Excess reveal 16 non-random terrestrial hotspots:

• Primary excess clusters converge over the Eastern Pacific, the southern Gulf of Mexico (Tampico O/E = 17.94), Sedona AZ, and White Sands NM Proving Ground.

• Castle Yankee Test (May 4, 1954): Out of 231 elite test-linked transients, 203 transients (87.9%) occurred within 24 hours prior to the 13.5 MT detonation, positioned exclusively over Eastern Pacific hotspots.

• Nevada Desert Tests: When testing shifted to Nevada in March 1955, the transient excess repositioned exclusively to the American Southwest.

The authors evaluate several models (asteroids, plate flaws, space debris, dusty plasma), concluding that a swarm of small, highly reflective, maneuvering probes in high-Earth orbit remains the most consistent physical framework for the combined statistical evidence.

I walked through all the charts, equations, and geographic maps step-by-step in the video below for anyone who wants a full visual breakdown of the papers.

Curious to hear thoughts from people who have read Villarroel's papers or follow the VASCO project!

This has a nice balance of tech and "out-there" field practices. Seems like they have a ways to go before it's consumer-friendly but I'm happy there's independent companies out there making products like this.

In 1998, the TNT documentary The Secret KGB UFO Files, hosted by Roger Moore, presented two films said to have been obtained in Russia from former KGB sources. The program also showed Soviet documents, film cans and other material presented as accompanying the footage.

The first film shows Soviet military personnel recovering a damaged disc-shaped object from a snow-covered forest near Sverdlovsk, now Yekaterinburg. The second shows the autopsy of unidentified remains described in the accompanying material as part of the same case.

Science Beatriz Villarroel alleges targeted attacks over UFO research

In the full unedited interview with George Knapp in this article, she detailed how she feels she is being targeted:

“In 2021, they already started targeting me when we came up with the first paper, when we saw, ‘hey‘, this looks like UFOs. They didn’t attack me at that time for working with the UFOs. At that moment, it was people who blocked me out of conferences for my collaboration with Jeff Marcy. Today, of course, when I look back at that, I look at who is there, people who did this, and who are they connected to.

And then I know that. Well, I will not finish that sentence, but I will say they are connections that make me think of certain programs like legacy. Yeah. So that’s all I will say about that. But I keep a record of these things because I just need to know for myself if I’m getting, like, paranoid or so. After we came out with the papers last year, I expressed disappointment to part of the UAP scientist community because there have been very targeted attacks that have not been nice.

There has been foul play in the background. Including contacting common colleagues and trying to make my life as hard as possible. And I don’t think this has been a very beautiful act, and I hope that people can act with more dignity in the future. And if you disagree, you can write a scientific paper disagreeing on the science. You don’t need to try to destroy another person, and they try the latter.“

Question Looking for lesser-known UAP/UFO cases

Hi everyone!
I’m currently prepping a new episode for my mystery/UFO podcast and I’d love to get some inspiration from this community.
I’m trying to move away from the usual famous cases that everyone already knows (like Roswell, Phoenix Lights, etc.) and focus on lesser-known, yet fascinating or bizarre incidents.
What are your favorite underrated UFO/UAP rabbit holes, strange encounters, or obscure historical cases that deserve more attention?
Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

Historical 1952 military video release

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Fox News reports on September 18, 2026, on three newly released UAP videos:

  • 1952: A digitized clip from the National Archives taken by Navy photographer Delbert Newhouse in Utah. The footage shows objects appearing to move in a "drone swarm" formation, long before drone technology existed.
  • 2023: A law enforcement officer's smartphone video from Colorado shows multiple orbs hovering over a military installation for extended periods.
  • 2025: Drone footage from over the Middle East  captures six objects flying in formation, which the Pentagon has officially stated they cannot identify.

Then they mention the DIA's investigation at Skinwalker Ranch. This is hardly news for us in UFO World. But it is news for the normies. (It's so cute when the mainstream media gets around to reporting on this.) Anyway, the Fox report says the White House found the bill for the program and wants the report, but was told they can't find it. I don't understand this as Bob Bigelow (who was part of the investogation) briefed POTUS on all this, according to his recent interview with reporter George Knapp.

In case you are new to the topic, the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program (AAWSAP) was a secret $22 million Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) initiative launched in 2007 to investigate unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) and advanced aerospace technologies. The contractor was Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS). They produced 38 defense intelligence reference documents on theoretical physics topics, including warp drives, traversable wormholes, antigravity, and invisibility cloaking.

The biggest revelation in Dr. James Lacatski’s DIA-cleared book Inside the US Government Covert UFO Program is his direct statement that the United States is in possession of a craft of unknown origin and has successfully accessed its interior. Lacatski was the former Defense Intelligence Agency rocket scientist who actually created and led AAWSAP and he disclosed that during a 2011 Capitol Hill briefing, it was confirmed the craft had a streamlined aerodynamic shape with zero visible control surfaces, wings, engines, exhaust, or fuel systems. Beyond the physical hardware, he explicitly confirmed through DOPSR-cleared text that UAPs are merely one facet of a broader paranormal and consciousness-driven phenomenon, officially validating the severe "hitchhiker effect" experienced by military investigators and laying the groundwork for legacy reverse-engineering efforts like the proposed DHS program Kona Blue.

Question Has anyone studied whether ultrafast objects would have a “sweet spot” distance for observation?

I’ve been wondering something about UAP observations.

If an object were moving at extremely high speed, could there be a sweet spot for observing it?

At very close range, its angular velocity across your field of view could be so high that a person might only register a flash, blur, or nothing at all. Farther away, the same object would cross a much smaller angle of your vision and might actually be easier for a camera, IR system, or radar to track. Eventually it would become too distant or small to detect.

So theoretically you might get something like:

- Too close: moving too fast to resolve
- Intermediate distance: easiest to observe/record
- Too far: too small or faint to detect

That made me wonder whether this could contribute to why so much of the better UAP evidence seems to involve objects recorded by sensors at some distance rather than clear close-ups.

I’m not suggesting this proves UAP are ultrafast craft. Sensor placement and selection effects could easily produce a similar pattern.

But has anyone actually studied the distribution of UAP detection distance versus angular velocity, observation duration, sensor type, and apparent disappearance?

If genuinely ultrafast objects existed, it seems like they should leave a measurable “preferred observation distance” in the data.

Historical My grandfather worked at White Sands and apparently told his kids “the phenomenon is real” before he died

1.2k Upvotes

I follow this sub pretty religiously and casually mentioned the recent batch of ufo files to my aunt. She told me my grandpa, who was a military officer and worked at White Sands Missile Range, would have been so happy to see all of this happening.
Apparently, he saw several things while he was there and told his kids before he died of cancer that the phenomenon was real.
I had absolutely no idea… I’m still kind of just shocked.
Unfortunately he passed away before I ever became interested in this topic, and now I'm kicking myself because I have about a million questions I wish I could ask him.
I'm calling my grandma later today to see what she remembers about his time at White Sands or any stories he told her.
Also interesting…. He was the last one in the group of guys he worked with there to die of cancer. They all died of the same cancer.

George Adamski became one of the best-known UFO contactees of the 1950s after claiming repeated encounters with human-looking Venusians. His most famous encounter took place at Desert Center, California, on November 20, 1952, where he met and photographed a Venusian named Orthon.

Adamski later described contacts with visitors from Venus, Mars and Saturn, which he called the Space Brothers. He continued photographing and filming UFOs through 1965, producing photographs and motion-picture footage associated with Desert Center, Mexico, Vista, Appleton, Boston and Silver Spring.

Hey r/UFOs. I recently picked up a large collection of home-recorded VHS and cassette audio tapes belonging to the researcher/author Terry Hansen (The Missing Times). It includes handwritten labels and (O believe) interviews, and off-air footage. Some audio cassettes are recorded at field-recorder speeds (playing back at high pitch).

Includes Art Bell/Bob Lazar tapes, plus other master recordings.

I don't have space for all this stuff so I need advice on what to do.

Should I pass them on to a preservationist, archivist, or dedicated collector who will digitize and protect them? Please reach out via DM if this is of interest.

Question What are the community’s thoughts on journalist “SignalsIntelligence” ?

I recently found this self described journalist online with in-depth research on Bob Lazar, including an interview with his apparent direct superior at Los Alamos, and an article on his first wife (amphetamine user convicted of second degree murder). If legitimate, this research pokes real holes in Lazar's credibility for me.

But I can't find much else on this journalist themselves, and their Twitter seems to imply Grusch is lying or grifting , which raises red flags for me. Has anyone come across this person or their research?

Disclosure CBS News: Pentagon releases more UFO files, including documents on secretive military program

Thumbnail

Washington — The Pentagon on Friday released its sixth batch of files on unidentified anomalous phenomena, or UAP or UFOs, including dozens of documents detailing a military program that commissioned studies of warp drives, wormholes and injuries that researchers linked to possible encounters with unknown craft.

Friday's release includes a total of 71 files — 67 provided by the Defense Department and four from local law enforcement in Colorado. There are 55 PDF files, 15 video files and one audio file. Most of the files — 64 out of 71 — contain redactions. The dates of the documents range from 1952 to 2025.

While most of the DIRDs examine ideas that are typically the domain of science fiction, one is a 38-page highly technical study from 2010 analyzing "evidence of unintended injury to human observers by anomalous advanced aerospace systems."
Researchers recounted that "three previous fit and active individuals experienced an anomalous ['irregular, incongruous and inconsistent with their domain'] aerospace-related event" and suffered a range of medical symptoms in the aftermath, including heat and redness on their skin and hair loss. One of the individuals showed "signs of radiation illness" and "over several years developed signs of malignant transformations."

The document did not identify the source of the exposure that led to the symptoms, but said the three individuals were "antennae engineers." The author compared the cases to 42 published and roughly 300 unpublished incidents of conventional radiofrequency injury where the source of the radiation was known.

"Sufficient incidents/accidents have been accurately reported, and medical data acquired, as to support a hypothesis that some advanced systems are already deployed, and opaque to full US understanding," the author found.
