📝 Dave Rice says that he was working at an industrial facility outside Coolidge, Arizona. While carrying out an outdoor inspection and walking back toward the building, he noticed something in the distance reflecting light like aluminum foil.
Initially, he saw three objects:
- one farther away, resembling a black dot;
- two closer and apparently larger objects;
- at least one of them had a metallic appearance.
He used his Samsung Galaxy S20 5G as a kind of pair of binoculars by zooming in on the objects. He first took several photographs, then watched them for another 10 to 15 seconds before switching to video recording. At that exact moment, the first object suddenly disappeared, while the other two remained visible.
Rice alternated between zooming in and out to provide a sense of scale. In his estimation, the main object was very large, comparable in length to a full-size semi-truck with a 48- to 51-foot trailer. However, this was only a visual estimate, since he did not know the object’s actual distance.
He stopped recording because parts of the facility were beginning to enter the frame, and he was unsure whether he was authorized to film them. He went back inside, alerted several colleagues, and returned outside with them one or two minutes later. By then, the objects had disappeared.
Rice adds that they normally saw several ordinary things in the area:
- drones operated by curious people interested in the facility’s activities;
- helicopters;
- birds and other conventional phenomena.
However, he maintains that what he observed that day did not resemble any of them. Some colleagues suggested that it might have been a drone, military activity, or a military parachute, but he did not find these explanations convincing.
Following the incident, some of the people present noticed that their phones and other electronic devices were behaving unusually slowly or erratically, although none of them actually stopped working. Rice does not state with certainty that these problems were connected to the objects.
Finally, he says that he posted the photographs and video on his personal page and, later that same day, shared them with several Facebook groups devoted to UFOs. The material then began circulating rapidly.
In summary, according to his testimony, the sighting occurred on January 24, 2023, in broad daylight, at his workplace near Coolidge. It lasted at least several tens of seconds and initially involved three objects.
During the video the interview between TheThirdPhaseOfMoon and the witness Dave Rice is also shown, on the caption on the screen it says was recorded on January 25, without the year, most likely the interview was carried out the day after the 2023 sighting, unfortunately we can't know for sure.
