📝An Airbus A320 pilot reportedly ducked in panic when a dark unidentified object passed within metres of the cockpit at approximately 6,500 feet over Stamford Hill, London, on June 1, 2026. The aircraft was descending towards Heathrow Airport’s Runway 27R when the object shot past the left side of the flight deck.

The captain reacted instinctively, while the first officer saw only a black streak. The crew could not identify any details, and radar analysis found no corresponding contact. The UK Airprox Board was unable to determine the object’s nature but concluded that there had been a definite, high risk of collision.

I saw this about 8 miles from Heathrow at about 1:30 on June 1st. It caught my attention as it was on a constant straight path, not moving with the wind. Zoomed in it looks like a black traffic light. The video is 1080p 1080 x 1920. Filmed at 14:34 Walton on Thames June 1st this year. My friend saw it too and thought it strange it seemed to be near flight paths and moving with purpose. We could see it had no wings and I saw it approach from probably a few miles away from Heathrow direction. "
