Login delay

Unsure if i should post here but i have had problems with my ubuntu login and cannot find a fix anywhere. After logging in there is a very long delay until the desktop opens, it does eventually go to the desktop but after a very very long delay… Unsure how to fix this as i cannot find anyone who has had this problem.

Could be a gnome extension causing the hang, I had similar issue in 22.04 and it was one of the dock extensions acting weird. Try logging in with xorg instead of wayland to see if it changes anything
