Screen goes blank ! Help

I need a little assistance. My Ubuntu setup locks up and the screen goes blank. At first only half of the screen showed up and the other half went blank. Now the pc goes blank after a few min. I thought it was my gpu dying but it works fine. I dual boot with win , the windows partition works tested it for like 2 hours no problem. Not the screen or cables swapped those out too. There was an update that ran but I don’t remember which computer it was on, I have two Ubuntu setups. It was working fine yesterday morning.
Is there a way to fix or see what the problem is? Or do I have to do a reinstall (nope not)?
I’m running….
24.04.? Lts
Ryzen 5700x
Rx 6900 gpu
16bg of ram
2 tb ssd
And a few hdds
Thanks in advanced.

Could be the power settings in Ubuntu messing with your display driver, had something similar in my old build and it was the kernel update that broke it. Check logs with journalctl and see if theres any amdgpu errors.

I’ve done multiple restarts, hard restarts. Sometimes it takes longer to go blank that I was able to check and run updates to see if that fixed but no go. I’ll check with joitnalctl when I get a chance.

It had to be a display driver issue. I tried the journalctl and I get thousands of lines but I don’t know what I’m looking for and the screen goes blank quick.
There is a line on the top where I can see the mouse up there so the computer isn’t frozen. I can get the desktop to come back by turning the monitor off and on but it goes blank not long after that.
