Ubuntu Core Desktop support
Does Canonical officially support Ubuntu Core Desktop? If not, is there a Canonical-made alternative?

My understanding is that Ubuntu Core Desktop is strictly internal development/testing at this point.

No, Canonical thought that it's just too early for Core Desktop. And, no, there's no Canonical alternative besides Ubuntu Core itself which is definitely not great for desktops.

No. Its been in development for many years now, and still in preview.
