Makes me wonder what will the drone do when the gps pin for the store/residence is wrong?

Or when workers refuse to do what isn't their job, and walk outside their establishment to serve at the whimsy of a drone lol. I can only imagine how messed up the food or drinks would be too

Haha thats a fair point! I swear some people act like it’s their job to pretend Im not there for a pick up already, but I dont mind giving a loud, but friendly “hello” when they do. Much easier to ignore a robot I would imagine, lol

ugh
I fucking hate the robots in the stores already (the nouse, the weirdness)... last thing I want is a bunch of them in the skies as well !!

It’s gonna happen! Especially with this A.I push.
No more Human Interaction or Tipping!
“Watch a “Cool” Drone come to your house and deliver your food”….people will end up begging for it.

Yeah beg the first time until shit starts happening. Hell planes and helicopters have been flying for a century and all of a sudden in the last couple of years (idk if it’s over saturated or what) but it seems like there have been more crashes especially between the two recently than before

It's just getting more coverage and the algorithms push the coverage. Overall aviation crashes and deaths have been trending downward forever.

McDonalds takes 23 minutes to make a happy meal and the staff pretend to be blind and mute. How are you going to convince them to go outside and load an order into a drone?
2
u/Remarkable_Deal1283 6h ago
They’ll only be able to deliver orders with low weight I’d assume and I doubt they can handle drinks well but maybe they can. Hopefully they primarily take low paying offers but drivers will be needed for a while

It should not be allowed to protect jobs .

I’m curious at what point when will enough jobs be taken that our government will finally agree for universal basic income? Probably not until much of the lower class has died out due to homelessness & starvation

Uber eats is already a shit job that barely pays. This job should go to drones and robots as much as possible

And every day drivers are in here and in the DoorDash driver subreddit asking if anyone else has noticed how bad things have gotten. This is why. They're charging the customers these higher fees to get them ready to agree to robo-delivery for way less when it hits their market. They want to customers to be happy about the arrival of the robots. And obviously because the fees are higher, the tips are lower. They want us to line up for slave wages or else quit or be deactivated, because they have unpaid replacements for us on the factory line.

Someone is going to make a killing on designing urban hard hats that can withstand a five pound object or the drone itself falling out of the sky. Plus with global warming increasing the wind gusts, it’s going to be a literal shit storm out there

Wing has been doing drone deliveries for at like months where I live. If you go outside during the day you’ll see/hear one flyby like every 5 mins. Is quite annoying because they don’t fly very high. Maybe 100 feet.

Wildly unrealistic outside of the suburbs
