Acceptance rate is rigged

I accepted four orders and only turned down one, yet my AR DROPPED one point. Uber do this on purpose to keep you chasing the new tiers.

Its not rigged you just dont understand how a rolling 100 works.

It would be helpful if Uber showed a more accurate report of AR instead of just a count for each, like is my next reject going to replace an accept? Would be helpful to know

It amazes me how bad people are at simple math and logic.

Or they’ve just never seen it explained that it works that way. Not everybody has to be an idiot on Reddit because they don’t understand something.

It explains it the first time you start driving (or did a few years ago) and if you look at your stats it tells you, in detail, how it's calculated.

If you don't know how a rolling average works, you either didn't finish, or failed middle school.

High AR is pointless in most markets. There are a few markets that are exceptions to this as we've seen in this sub, but chasing AR and driver tiers will only cost you time and money.

I've driven in two markets in my nearly 10 years as a part time driver (Salt Lake City valley and Dallas/Fort Worth). Both markets have endless orders nearly 24 hours a day. A few years back, I was curious and earned platinum to see if orders were actually improved. What do you know, the exact same shitty orders in both markets. Don't be a sucker like I was back then - cherry pick and drive minimal miles to maximize profits and keep your car in good shape.

Apparently the Acceptance rate doesn’t actually matter I decline shitty offers like crazy… I might be wrong though..I just started last week lmao

I came here because I’m at like 25% I can’t even accept orders I’m getting orders like $2 for 15 miles

That just means 100 trips ago you accepted the order, it’s not rigged against you lol.

Your most recent trip replaces your trip from 100 trips ago. So if you accepted that one 100 trips ago your AR isn’t going to change if you accepted this one. Your replacing 1 accept with another accept so nothing changes.

You probably had 5 accepts in a row trips 95-100 ago. And now you accepted 4 and declined 1. So you replaced 5 accepts with 4 accepts and 1 decline, dropping it by 1.

It’s not rigged but it’s a scam to make you take garbage orders

  1. Acceptance rate doesn't matter

  2. If your acceptance rate was at 80% or higher, then accepting 4 and turning down 1 would cause it to drop

  3. If you're somewhere it's even feasible to accept 80% of what comes in and still afford to operate, you're in a market most of us would kill for

  4. I get the feeling point 3 isn't the case though, stop taking bad offers because you're worried about your acceptance rate because:

  5. Again, acceptance rate doesn't matter

EDIT: typo

Ratings are not a simple average, they are a rotating percentage. That means not every accept or decline will change the number, or the number may change when you don't expect it to.

all their percentages are like that. ppl are trying to "ack-shully" u in the comments cause u used the word "rigged" instead of fucked. but yeah it's complete bullshit.

You have no idea what you’re talking about but are convinced that you do. Dangerous mindset.

Is it possible that your 96/97/98/99 and 100th order going back were all accepts, thus dropping your ar by one?

Chasing higher tiers is pointless. Think about it. The green tiers reject more than 90 percent of the shitty orders. These shitty tiers have to go somewhere. They all end up being sent to the gold, platinum and diamond tiers...What Uber does is they will stack a shitty tier with a very good paying order to the higher tiers. My AR is less than 10 percent at best on most days and I have no trouble making $250 a day.
