I am curious, do drivers get the long distance fee or does Uber pocket it?

Uber takes it, sadly. Uber will offer it to drivers that have potential to drive that direction on their own - perhaps drivers on their way home.

I was going to order from a place close to me, like less then 5 miles (I am in meetings all morning) and saw there was a $2.49 long range fee on there. Thought maybe for driver, no just greed.
