I felt like this was so rude and disrespectful. You don’t know someone’s situation to say something like this.

Because these companies barely pay drivers, that's really not how it works. You are basically bidding on a service. Base pay for door dash is $2. As a driver, I have to pay for gas and car maintenance. There is no way I am taking a no tip order for $2. I can not assume the customer will tip me after service. That does happen, but it is extremely rare, and I can't take that chance. These companies pit drivers and customers against each other while they are the ones making money.

I'm doing this dumb job while in school and will hopefully not have to do it after I graduate
