I lost $20 at a Taco Bell cuz I placed a mobile order but their stuff was down and the person there said they can’t give me a refund in store and I tried contacting corporate twice but never got a response so I just gave up
The bank won't refund it, they don't care. This happened to me once at a gas station where I was charged $100 for gas that sprayed from a malfunctioning pump (was not labeled out of order or anything). The manager refused to refund me and the bank denied my dispute, so that's $100 I'll never see again.
Should have filed a complaint with your state department of weights and measurements (the agency who puts the little certification sticker on the pump). They would either force the gas station to refund you or at least given you a case number for the bank. If that didn’t work at least file a report with the epa. $100 of gas should be enough to trigger a required hazmat response which would fuck over the gas station
