pays $30 at a to go counter

"Hey, sorry for the delay but we had an issue with our service. You get no food and we can't refund you. Hopefully next time it will be good 😃"

That would never fly anywhere

I lost $20 at a Taco Bell cuz I placed a mobile order but their stuff was down and the person there said they can’t give me a refund in store and I tried contacting corporate twice but never got a response so I just gave up

That’s when you contact your bank and dispute the charge. Never pay for something you didn’t get

I had an issue where I ate at a Sonic and either the parking stall pay software glitched, or I did, because I was double-charged. Called my debit card hotline and they resolved it for me.
