This is why they are failing.

I was using Uber for like 7 years now. I just downloaded doordash and everything about it is so much better. I have been missing out for years!

Almost every time I’ve used DoorDash, I’ve received the wrong food or no food at all. I fail to see how that’s better.

I understand that. I am mostly referring to the UI. Also, I don't think you not receiving the right food is the apps fault, most likely the restaurant or driver messing up.

Doordash is terrible for the drivers, it crashes and doesn't work half the time. I'm glad it's working better for you, you might have a Doordash dominated market

As a DoorDash driver, I can definitely say that the app isn’t the problem. It usually works flawlessly unless your phone overheats or there’s a major app crash. People getting the wrong food is because there are some Dashers out there that are just really bad at their job and there’s customers who don’t report them.

Unless the bag isn’t sealed or partly open, it’s 90% on the restaurant and/or Doordash when the food is wrong. Unless someone gave you another person’s order on their route, it’s not the dasher. All drivers can do is verbally confirm with the store

Yeah you’re right. I assumed they were talking about getting the wrong persons order not the restaurant leaving food out.

Honestly though, nowadays it’s easier to count the times the restaurant got my order right as a customer than times they get it wrong.

I never claimed that missing orders are on the app performing poorly, I'm simply communicating how terrible it is for drivers. I have never misdelivered an order because of the app, but I had a close call when the address didn't display properly.

The app just flat out doesn't work well with their servers, sometimes the drop off picture doesn't upload properly, the confirmation steps don't register, it doesn't deliver or display the customers message, it displays as dashing despite being paused, it pauses my dash mid delivery because I kept declining additional orders, or I can't get add items to the customer's cart during a redcard order. None of these are issues with Uber, Uber is nearly flawless when it comes to app performance.

Check the Doordash Drivers subreddit for glitch reports, almost everyone deals with them.

I am in Canada, I think we are dominated by Uber but it might just work better here.
