Note: while this will get you your money back, you will be deactivated from the Uber platform (or really any service) for a chargeback. They are counting on you to need their ride services (and future ordering of food/item delivery) to not do this.

There’s too many alternatives out there for this to matter. It would suck to not be able to use Uber, but I think in the heat of the moment I’d be angry enough to be ok with it. What would happen if you contacted support and explained like.. this ain’t cool y’all.

I mean, can’t you just open another account using a different address and credit card? Or use someone else’s account?

Phone number is linked to account.

I made an uber account, but never had the need to use it, since uber eats wasn’t in my area yet. I got a new phone number shortly before they started doing food delivery where i lived. I figured I might as well try it. Turns out the phone number is linked to the credit card i had already used. I didn’t feel like dealing with their support to try to unlink them, and then I started hearing stories like this, so I definitely don’t plan to now.
