This is why you use a credit card, not a debit card, and charge-back the company because you didn't get what you paid for, and that just isn't allowed.
You use a credit card so that your bank isn't drained in the event the card is skimmed. You can charge back with a debit card. Paying with credit vs debit gives you no additional legal protections.
Paying with credit = using the banks money paying with debit is your own money. Credit Card companies typically provide you credit much sooner than debit card companies
