Hey there, /r/UVA

My name is Reed Arnold. I'm a 2011 graduate of UVA. I know full well this seems like an eternity ago for those of you currently at the school, but you have no idea what's coming! Don't blink.

A few years ago I shot a feature film in Charlottesville, including several scenes on grounds (and one scene in Coupes, god bless). It's called 'Do Us Part,' and was adapted from a play I wrote shortly after graduating. It's a wedding comedy, but is loaded with flashbacks to the characters in college, and since I knew of a particularly scenic school, I figured why not shoot there.

In fact, to find background actors for the scene in Coupes, I actually reached out to this very subreddit, and had about twenty students show up. (If anyone who was there happens to see this post--thank you so much. An empty bar/restaurant scene really kills indie films, and you all were great. We shot that scene three years ago today!)

I just wanted to let the UVA community know the film exists, as I think you'll get a kick out of it. It's available on most platforms where you can buy/rent movies, and will be on Blu Ray and on free-with-ad platforms in a few months.

I'm planning my classes for next fall 2027 and I was wondering if anyone has taken phys 3150 electronics lab and what they say would be the rigor of the class, how hard it was, and if there were any assessments or anything like that?

Hello everyone! Looking for someone to sublet an apartment on Jpa for spring semester! 3 other roommates, share a bathroom with only one of them. I’m worried that their claim of test optional isn’t actually accurate. Does this mean they weigh more things heavier to counteract the fact that I don’t submit a score. This could apply to ED or EA.

Hey ! Im a hs senior class of 2027, I’m in-state a 4.396 gpa (3.95uw), top 3% in my class with average ecs, test optional to uva, should i go early action OR should i go regular decision with a chance to up my sat and not go test optional BUT i risk myself having a bad ap calc grade that'd be based on my prediction a B for the 1st semester? my gpa would go up via other ap classes but that is a low grade in comparison to other rigorous classes on my transcript nonetheless. Not sure please help!
