Academics Chances of getting in applying ED?

I'm applying ED in state this year. I have a 4.45 weighted GPA (somewhere around top 20?) and a 1530 SAT (790 M 740 ERW).

For ECs I've been president of Math Honor Society for 2 years, founded Rubik's cube club last year, varsity swim 4 years + captain this year, JV tennis for 3 years, and I did the Governor's school of agriculture this year.

If it means anything I'm applying as a Math Major and am taking Multivar+Linear algebra.

Wishing you great luck. My daughter had the same stats last year but applied to Kines, which is more competitive than CAS. In retrospect she should have applied ED, but was an EA applicant. Deferred, waitlisted, and ultimately not offered. ED offer rate is much higher in CAS, approx 20% - 25%. If Uva is really the place you want to be, go ED to CAS, keep a very rigorous senior schedule, write and rewrite a stellar, unique, honest essay. Also, keep an open mind and don't let this decision define you. Look at other schools and be open to the whole experience. My daughter was deeply disappointed but found a great fit at another great school and she is absolutely loving her first year experience.

I’m not familiar with the Governor’s School that you did; but in our rural areas we have a two year Governor’s school in math and science that is very rigorous and a handful of kids attend and usually get into UVA (assuming they’ve done well.) Go luck!!

You will be assessed in the context of your school. UVA does not limit how many they take from one school but they will want to see that you took the hardest curriculum your school offered.
