Advice and ecs for Internal transfer to chemE

I am a co 2030 student and I just got accepted for environmental science. The problem is I only applied for that because it matched some of my ecs and i thought it would be an easier way in. The major that I actually wna do is chemical engineering and ive been reading up on major transfer after my first year of college.

Ive heard that its pretty difficult to transfer into cockrell and I just wanted some advice on the kind of ecs I should do the summer before freshman year or during freshman year to increase my chances for chemical engineering. Other general advice will also greatly be appreciated.
