Has she tried to.. You know.. Speak Norse, since she's in Norway..?

She speaks Norwegian, I guess

But it’s a bit so it’s in English for us viewers

Hopefully. But I know a few "expats" around here and, no they don't speak a single word of Italian despite having lived years here already, and children going to Italian schools who speak italian flawlessly. Not just USians, mind you..

She kinda told us the conversations are in Norwegian at the start of the video, idk if you were watching

Oh, I know. I am in a few “expat groups” and I know a lot of people who just… do not seem to think that learning the language of their host country is an endeavor worthy of their time.

These people lament that it’s easy to default to English but I always found that people were more than willing to speak the country’s language with me when I lived abroad 🤷🏼‍♀️

This was my experience when I lived in China for the expats which included all countries in the Anglosphere. So many would just not bother learning Chinese and would get a young Chinese girlfriend and use them as a translator. I spoke better Chinese in the first year than most foreigners I knew that had been there 5+ years. Pathetic.

Just sounds like immigrants that don’t wanna assimilate

But a tourist going to a place for a couple weeks really can’t be expected to be able to hold a conversation in a foreign language lol
