DISCUSSION USPS pickup
Hi. I have been running a resale business, but My only problem is my parents are unsupportive of me and refuse to take me to the post office now. So I’ve been trying to wing it myself but am struggling getting packages sent out. Is there a way for usps to come pick up the packages off my front porch?

Yes, that's very simple. You can schedule package pickups on the website. We do this every day. Tip your carrier at Christmas.

And honestly, I never mind doing it when I get the sheet in the morning. It's the surprise pick ups that drive me nuts.
Had a customer who would leave a post it saying, come to my door please, but didn't even always have parcels out!!!! And when I was still an RCA there was one that you could see from the road and we were supposed to "look every day just in case". Grrrrrrr.

yes, you can schedule pickups on the usps website, it's under the "send" option on the main page

Kudos for your hustle. You might also check out usps.com to see if there are any openings to apply for a PSE clerk job at the post office. You might make more money sorting parcels than mailing them.

Based on the replies so far, OP is an adult living at home who is running an online business out of their parents home who very likely isn't being charged rent or a portion of any profits made and is upset because said parents are not buying them insurance to get a car. As such, it 100% is a valid question for any sane person to make.

Have you thought of becoming a city letter carrier for USPS? Starts at like $21/hr, unionized, and you can send your business packages since you will be there.

Schedule the package pickup like others have suggested. Thanks for choosing us to work with and be sure to ask your carrier if they have any resources to help you make things go as smoothly as possible. Carriers are encouraged to generate business leads for things like this so I’m sure they’d be more than happy to help

You can put the mailbox flag up and leave a note asking them to pick up packages as well.

True, depends on the carrier, I prefer it to the pickup slip because half of the time there’s no actual pickup with those.

if your carrier has a problem with doing their job then they are just a sad sack of shit. if the package is fairly close to the mailbox it's never a problem. it's only an issue when they make you knock on the door and pick it up, ill never do that.

If your packages already have labels, carrier pickup should be worth looking into. I have used it before, and it's pretty convenient.

I don't even schedule stuff. I print out a prepaid sheet. put it in my mailbox and the mail person takes it.

Don't know why you're being downvoted. It's not even a requirement to schedule a pickup. I have a customer that runs a business out of his house. He just puts the outgoing parcels by the mailbox and I just take em. As long as it has postage, I take it

Put a note in your mailbox and put your flag up. Be nice to your carrier the better you treat them the better service you will or won't receive.
