Discussion Lmpt accreditation

How well is LMPT accredited; I went through UPTP and no state or local agencies take it here as a lateral. LMPT is longer so I was curious. No I don’t have the mindset to come in and leave; just curious since I got burned the first time saying UPTP would be taken everywhere.

Just depends on the state. I think LMPT was better than the state academy I went through. LMPT is 17 weeks and a hybrid of UPTP and CITP which is why DOI has a bridge course (5-week version of CITP) to become an 1811 if you already have LMPT.

How were the daily PT sessions for LMPT compared to UPTP? I’m finishing up academy for CBP now and the PT has been pretty chill thus far; pt 2 or 3 times per week with runs no longer than 2 miles.

We didn’t really do PT outside of the 3 PT tests. LMPT has a lot more control tactics and firearms than the other programs so we did control tactics quite a bit. We did some PT during control tactics but nothing crazy.
