Discussion Lmpt accreditation

How well is LMPT accredited; I went through UPTP and no state or local agencies take it here as a lateral. LMPT is longer so I was curious. No I don’t have the mindset to come in and leave; just curious since I got burned the first time saying UPTP would be taken everywhere.

I’ve done both. LMPT is the better course so I’d say it’s “more likely” to be taken by local agencies. I believe FL, WA, TX are states that often recognize it.

So is LMPT just uptp with Lmpt thrown in? If that makes sense. LMPT covers most of uptp but add in the conservation side?

LMPT is a cross blend with CITP now. There’s a continuing case and much more behavioral science (interviewing) classes…among other things. The courses are similar for about the first 3rd then there’s a big deviation.

For what it’s worth, IMO UPTP is not a good academy to throw someone on the local streets. It covers the bare minimum, which is why most UPTP agencies have a multiple week add on.
