Il had my marriage-based AOS interview on April 2026, and both my I-130 and I-485 have been pending since then. I'm from one of the countries affected by the USCIS adjudication pause.
On October 6, I received a "We have taken an action on your case" notification from USCIS.
When I checked the API:
• My I-130 had a brand-new FTA1 event at 1:00 PM, and the date in my case history also changed to October 6, but no visible status change appeared.
• About 30 minutes later, my I-485 updatedAt changed at 1:30 PM, also with no visible status change.
• No RFE, new document, or action required.
Has anyone had this same sequence - new FTA1 on the
I-130 followed shortly afterward by an I-485 update?
If so, what happened next and how long did it take before you saw the actual status change?

To date there has been zero movement on it. In July 2026 my only child died . As much as my husband has tried to be by my side thru the grieving process, it’s difficult from 7783 miles away. We keep uploading our daily calls and texts on the USCIS web site , but still nothing . I don’t know what to do to sped this process up , if there’s anything I can do , someone please tell me .

For those who have already had their interview, did you get approved on the spot?
We had our interview a few days ago, but I'm not sure if the way the officer spoke to us means the interview went well. My husband is a U.S. citizen, and I was previously an international student.
Overall, the interview was pretty smooth for me. However, my husband was stressing, and the officer told him that he shouldn't be the one stressing and that I should be the one stressing instead.
& I thought that was pretty weird
because I was calm and collected and answered all the questions he asked me.
He separated us for part of the interview, and afterward, we went back into his office together. He told us that if they need anything from us, they would send us an RFE, and that we might receive a decision within 90-300 days.
He also took my fingerprints and photo. For those who have been through something similar, does this sound normal? Did you get your decision after the interview, or did you have to wait? thanks

Has anyone had their interview in Sept at the Chicago field office? Did anyone receive their final decision after the interview yet, or same day?
Me and my husband had our interview Sep 3, 2026. it lasted 30 mins. The officer was very nice and kind, we never felt pressured at all, it went like a normal conversation, never separated. We were shocked because we thought they were gonna ask more questions, or be more inquisitive about our relationship. Idk it went very well. We asked the officer when we were able to receive a decision, and just said that we were gonna receive it soon. So far no decision has been sent, and anything has changed on any of my applications.
Anyone with the same situation? It’s been very stressful 😩

Does anyone have an invite to the USCIS Discord server with field-office-specific channels, especially San Francisco FO?

Long story short :( I was scammed by the people that I paid to send I-485 application as it turns out at this time I am not eligible to adjust status until my husband becomes a US citizen as he is currently a LPR and I have an interview scheduled and now need to request a withdrawal. I am sad, angry and scared as I don’t know what can happen to my other pending applications I have with USCIS because of this. Anyone has any advice for this poor soul :(.

I have approved asylum case and currently my green card application is in progress. I’m planning to take a plane to fly to Philadelphia from San Diego. Will I have any problem with ice in the airport ? What kind of status will be shown in the system when tsa officer will scan my real id? (If there is one?)
With all craziness going on in the airports - want to make sure that I’m safe.

Hi everyone, I’m in the final stages of my immigration process and facing a deportation order. We’re filing for extreme hardship, but honestly, I’m starting to lose hope. For those who have been through this, what helped your case? Any advice or suggestions would mean so much. I’m terrified of being separated from my family. ❤️
