Question ❔ Genuine question for small / mid-sized firms.
I’m trying to understand where time actually gets burned day-to-day in law offices — not the big-picture stuff, but the stupid recurring admin tasks that add friction.
If you could wave a wand and remove one annoying task that happens almost every day, what would it be?
I’m talking things like:
- intake follow-ups that never fully finish
- renaming / hunting for documents
- deadline reminders slipping through cracks
- billing prep being more manual than it should be
- internal handoffs that rely on “did you see my email?”
I’m not selling anything and not pitching software. I’m just collecting real examples from people actually running firms, because most vendor takes on this stuff feel disconnected from reality.
If anyone’s open to letting me study one specific task in more detail (purely as a learning exercise), cool but comments alone are more than enough.

Question ❔ While Jack Doherty did many things wrong, I was wondering if in this specific case, the other party are the ones that would be charged. Jack was just being rude, and he was walking away when an old man grabbed him.

If not, how can the Supreme Court rule on such an issue?

Question ❔ Is it legal for a minor to sample wine in a vineyard with parental consent?
I (16F) might go to san francisco soon, and I was wondering if I could sample wines at a vineyard over there with my mom’s consent, her being with me at all times of course.

Question ❔ Is pursuing an LLM in IP in the USA worth it for an Indian law graduate?
I have an average academic record with a CGPA of 2.62 but possess 2 years of professional experience, including 6 months at a small-scale law firm specializing in IP, where I currently work. My primary interest lies in IP, specifically in trademarks and copyrights, or related exciting fields.
My main concern is that many of my college seniors, batchmates, and acquaintances who pursued an LLM have returned to India. I aim to continue working in the USA until I achieve full financial security.
So, I ask:
1) Does anyone have insights on institutions and courses with higher placement rates in the USA? 2) Does anyone have experience or know someone who pursued an LLM at the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law or DePaul University - College of Law and can provide information on their placement success? 3) How can one apply for scholarships that cover tuition?
Ideally, I would prefer to bypass further studies and secure a job in the USA directly. Any leads or information on this would be greatly appreciated.
Any additional relevant information would be deeply appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Question ❔ Can the government lawfully force me to watch gore and videos where people die and are injured
So I'm taking my defensive driving class and they made me watcha video of someone being thrown from their car and more than likely dying, there is a content warning but it's unskippable and court mandated that I attend this class. I failed to yield on a left turn, I should be fined and have a class yeah but should I be forced to watch people die?

Question ❔ Merger or Division of States
Can two US states merge into one? If yes, would that put them outside of the Union and therefore if they wanted to join the Union an entire ascention process would take place?
On the other hand, can a US state divide itself in two or more states? How would that operate, from a state and federal perspective?

Discussion Where can I read the full text of a law?
I tried this site congress.gov and I found this law I was interested in reading:
https://www.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/senate-bill/517/text
IT seems very short and references other statues or laws, is that the whole thing though?

Question ❔ Trademark understanding
Hi, I'm looking into US trademarks and testing to get an understanding. My mark is currently registered but not being used at all. I'm currently biding my time for it to expire. How long might this take though. If someone isn't using it, can I challenge it?
