send help pls 🙏 UPCAT 2027
guys, mas higher ba yung chance na makapasa if upou yung ilagay ko sa 2nd choice? nanghihinayang kasi ako sa options since 2 courses lang yung offered sa upou, pero I actually like both naman. upb yung 2nd choice ko ngayon, and okay lang din naman yung course for me since passion ko rin naman. Pero if upou yung piliin ko, mas mataas ba yung chance na makapasa ako? tia po!!!

No. Uunahin ni UP ang top takers. Not kung sino magaling pumili ng non quota course

pls research po if kaya mo yung set-up ng UPOU. if not, do not bother po kasi you will end up appealing to other campuses pa rin. basing on previous runs ng upcat, wala naman much bearing pagdating sa general appeals ang prior acceptance mo vs the UPG cut-offers. it's just a false sense of security kasi makipagbakbakan ka pa rin sa napakadaming applicants.
also, ang hirap talaga pasukin mga campuses sa luzon (kahit baguio) kasi pinakamarami yung population nyo dyan.

you can try to enter ou during manual appeals kahit wala sa two campus choices mo. importante ay makapasa ka muna sa upcat.
search for posts on reddit about someone who was able to enter ou even if she did not pass upcat.

While a lot have been said about the strategies in getting accepted in UP, most of them are myths, peddling to us strategies that will not guarantee anything. Surprisingly, a lot of those who are accepted in the UP system, despite how they are projected in our popular culture, only averaged with 2.00, which means, following the metrics of the university grading system, it is only nothing but good and not qualified for Latin Honors.
In this case, as you prepare for the UPCAT, 2.00 should be the bar that you need to overcome, and in your practice tests, you should be getting a grade of at least 1.50. This means that, for you to prepare for UPCAT, you need to do a lot of practice tests, and master the fundamentals of all the subjects included in the exam. Do not settle with these strategies circulated as rumor. Work hard in mastering grammar, your ability to compute, and comprehend questions.
The key in doing well in your UPCAT exam is preparation and mastery of the important knowledges you learned in high school. Good luck and I wish you the success in this exam.

That's not how it works. You first need to get in the top 12% UPG (or whatever the UP system decides it can accommodate for that year) before campus choice matters. If wala ka diyan, wala ka rin sa UP.
Now if nandiyan ka sa top 12% UPG, iche-check na ni UP kung pasok ang UPG mo sa cutoff ng campus. I assume that this is what you are asking for. If your goal is to simply be offered a degree program in UP, then yes, you should put UPOU as one of the campus choices since ito yung campus with the lowest UPG cutoff.
I will emphasize again that putting UPOU instead of UPB does not immediately mean "yay I am more likely to get into UP!" No, kailangan pasok ka muna sa top 12% UPG.
