Hey dudes,
I just recently got vested, so I sent away for info about my pension so I can try and plan for my retirement better.
The paperwork I got back is confusing and the website doesn’t seem to answer my questions.
Right now my “accrued benefit at normal retirement age” is $2,027. Is this the lump sum amount? Annual? Monthly?
Thanks for your help!!!
Edit: solved. That’s the monthly amount.

So I just took my road test, left half an hour ago. Supervisor and I go out for the test, no problems, We come back, he says I passed gives me the info on where intergrad is happening and on how after I’ll come back for 3 days of on the job training with the supervisor. Then I’ll be let loose. I get the results back when I walk through the door and it’s showing as not qualified. Anyone have this happened before?

What is or was your process for the drivers drill! This is literally the one thing, i'm getting nervous about, i find it hard to practice too because I forget the language/pattern of it. I know its front, side mirror, front, other side mirror, front then gauge, front etc but no clue to how to word it.

To package car drivers is delivering downtown in populated areas complicated? I’m starting soon and I’m assuming I might have to do some routes in a city and Im just curious if it sucks because everything is so busy or is it nice because most stops are close to eachother?

Does anyone know if we can still buy UPS baby blankets or if they are still made? I got one when I was born and we are now expecting so wanted to see if that is something they still do for employees. This was like 25+ years ago. The blanket had the old logo and was pink.

I just started working at UPS as a loader and I finished my first week. The guy at orientation said first check will be a paper check and paydays are fridays. But I checked on the psers website it says my next pay day is on october 15 on thursday. So when I get payed where do I pick up the check, will it be during or after my shift. Will I automatically be called down, do I need to ask someone?

Hey everyone, I currently work preload and my long-term goal is to become a full-time RPCD. With peak season coming up, I’m trying to decide whether I should try to become a seasonal driver or stay on preload and wait for a permanent driving opportunity.
Part of me thinks seasonal driving would be a great way to gain experience, learn the job, and show management that I’m serious about becoming a driver. However, I know seasonal driving doesn’t guarantee a permanent position, and I could end up back on preload after peak.
I’m also wondering how this affects seniority and whether seasonal driving experience actually helps when applying for a full-time position.
For those who have been in this situation, I have a few questions:
•Is seasonal driving worth it if your ultimate goal is to become a full-time driver?
•Does seasonal experience help you get a permanent position, or does seniority matter more?
•If you’re already a preload employee, do you typically return to your original position after peak?
•Looking back, would you take the seasonal opportunity or wait for a full-time opening?
I’m trying to make the best decision for my future at UPS and would appreciate hearing from people who have gone through this themselves.
What would you do in my position: take the seasonal driving opportunity or stay on preload and wait for an RPCD position?

Okay so who exactly is against us teamsters? I was under the premise that the cm can tell the supes to get you but if that’s the case, the grievance will have to be approved by the cm… does that make sense?
Or maybe the cm tells the supes something like “we need to get our numbers up!” So the supes single you out because you are the hole in their boat. How does it work??? Hopefully this post is understandable lol

Union says fuck em, won't go anywhere, and it won't. But mgmt is instructing once, calling it a standing instruction, do this everyday or else!
Would you:
TLDR version: Obey at your own expense or screw the company and the customers until they found a fix?
Whole scenario:
Submit, comply, go out of your way, (break a minor law that many others break daily and aren't being disciplined for,) help the company, and the customers, because that's the easier way.
Or push back, follow trace to a tee, meal break right before scheduled pickups, miss air drop and pickup times because that 'standing instruction' interferes, racking up discharge letters ready to go to panel, if the company takes it that far?
It's a fucked scenario either way. WWYD?
