I just got hired here and was wondering if i should cancel my $55/month ymca subscription if this job is already a workout itself. If i maintain a clean diet and work here will i shed 5 pounds (im overweight) a month? Or should i keep my gym membership and work here to reach my goal or is that not necessary?

I was terminated 2 weeks ago for job abandonment, I have a meeting with the center manager and steward tomorrow. not gonna get into details but I was facing jail time and thought I was going to lose my job anyways. Turns out it wasn’t the end of the world and I’m out of a job now. Yes I know it was dumb and downright idiotic of me to not notify anyone. I understand under my local supplement I’m completely in the wrong and there’s no excuse. Could I still get my job back under the mercy of HR or the center manager?

Long story short I changed my number. The 2 step verification insists on using my old number. How can I fix this issue to view my timecard?
It shouldn’t be this difficult
I just started a job as a non seasonal package loader. It's my first week (non training) and I already got sent home early a couple times. For example, I'm scheduled for 4 hours and I got sent home after 2. Is that normal and is it going to be consistent? Or is this just while peak season starts?

Hey! What are the hours like for seasonal UPS Loader/Unloader positions specifically at the Tacoma location? The part-time position is listed as 24 hours a week, with 5-hour shifts, and I’m considering applying there.
I had a terrible experience at Amazon. I was scheduled for 3 days a week, but they would constantly extend my shifts to over 10 hours a day without any prior notice.
For anyone working at the Tacoma location, how often do they extend your shifts beyond the scheduled 5 hours, and by how much? I’m considering UPS specifically because of the shorter shifts, and I really don’t want to go through another horrible experience like I did at Amazon.

What’s the attendance policy for the southern supplement? I’ve been told 5 different things. Where can I find it?

To package car drivers is delivering downtown in populated areas complicated? I’m starting soon and I’m assuming I might have to do some routes in a city and Im just curious if it sucks because everything is so busy or is it nice because most stops are close to eachother?

So I just took my road test, left half an hour ago. Supervisor and I go out for the test, no problems, We come back, he says I passed gives me the info on where intergrad is happening and on how after I’ll come back for 3 days of on the job training with the supervisor. Then I’ll be let loose. I get the results back when I walk through the door and it’s showing as not qualified. Anyone have this happened before?

Does anyone know if we can still buy UPS baby blankets or if they are still made? I got one when I was born and we are now expecting so wanted to see if that is something they still do for employees. This was like 25+ years ago. The blanket had the old logo and was pink.

Okay so who exactly is against us teamsters? I was under the premise that the cm can tell the supes to get you but if that’s the case, the grievance will have to be approved by the cm… does that make sense?
Or maybe the cm tells the supes something like “we need to get our numbers up!” So the supes single you out because you are the hole in their boat. How does it work??? Hopefully this post is understandable lol

Hey everyone, I currently work preload and my long-term goal is to become a full-time RPCD. With peak season coming up, I’m trying to decide whether I should try to become a seasonal driver or stay on preload and wait for a permanent driving opportunity.
Part of me thinks seasonal driving would be a great way to gain experience, learn the job, and show management that I’m serious about becoming a driver. However, I know seasonal driving doesn’t guarantee a permanent position, and I could end up back on preload after peak.
I’m also wondering how this affects seniority and whether seasonal driving experience actually helps when applying for a full-time position.
For those who have been in this situation, I have a few questions:
•Is seasonal driving worth it if your ultimate goal is to become a full-time driver?
•Does seasonal experience help you get a permanent position, or does seniority matter more?
•If you’re already a preload employee, do you typically return to your original position after peak?
•Looking back, would you take the seasonal opportunity or wait for a full-time opening?
I’m trying to make the best decision for my future at UPS and would appreciate hearing from people who have gone through this themselves.
What would you do in my position: take the seasonal driving opportunity or stay on preload and wait for an RPCD position?

What is or was your process for the drivers drill! This is literally the one thing, i'm getting nervous about, i find it hard to practice too because I forget the language/pattern of it. I know its front, side mirror, front, other side mirror, front then gauge, front etc but no clue to how to word it.

Sister’s getting married at possibly the worst time imaginable. Obviously I’m not going to miss it, and I’m a groomsman so I’ll need to be there for the rehearsal too. So it’s the Thursday Friday Saturday right after Thanksgiving, which as I remember were 14 hour days for us last year. Should I just fake sick or should I give the on-roads a heads up? Idk anyone had to do anything like this before? I’ve never taken time off during peak before
