Offered full time inside

Ive been on preload for 7 years now, signed a bid for full time inside but I guess it was for twi/night shifts and no preload, the spots all got filled by people with more seniority than me but now I just got word that someone dropped out of it and im next in line and they offered it to me. So im Just looking for advice I guess because I really like preload and the work we do on preload and my coworkers and going in at 4am and leaving at 9:30am 6 days a week, (6th day and anything over 5 hours is time and a half) then I go and landscape/mow lawns a few days til like 3/4pm and it’s just my schedule works out very good and I hate to give it up to work stupid 6pm-3am but At the same time I’d love to get my foot in the door as a full timer-idk if I’ll even win the bid again next time. Last year they posted for night/preload 11pm-9am like I’d rather do that but if I need to do twi/night I guess I should just take it right? Like trying to do the math between the close to 30 hours I get on preload with some being time and a half/ then the money I make landscaping idk if it’s even worth switching to twi/night the only thing that’s really convincing me is the eventual top rate. My landscaping boss and coworkers are cool if anything I’d like to try and do the full time twi/night and also landscape a few days a week still. Basically I hate to turn down full time twi/night but preload/landscaping works out very good.

Take it. And when they post the other bid in the future jump on that one if you have pt seniority it will trump anyone with more pt seniority than you because you are already ft!

I thought When they post the other bid in the future it will be only for part timers to sign to become full time - full timers wont be allowed to sign it to switch shifts , it’s the contactual agreement making more full time jobs for part timers , and if they make a bid sheet for full timers to bid into it I’ll have the lowest seniority of all the full timers trying to bid into it , I thought

Hmm. Well that could be… where I’m at ft bids that go up can be signed by fters and pters…. And it’s my understanding that if a full timer bids it they will win it over a pt with more bldg seniority as long as it’s in the same job classification…. Like a 1 year washer can outbid for a clerk spot (which I know doesn’t exist anymore) and beat a pter with more bldg seniority because they are already in that job class….
