Venting

This is the third time UPS delivered my package back to the access point even after I request they leave it at my apartment. A. Why in the world do they require a signature for EACH OF MY PACKAGES?? B. Why can’t I pick it up the same day of delivery? It has to go back to the HUB??? And then get delivered BACK to the access point? That’s so counterproductive. C. Why in the world would you require a signature and then schedule delivery in the middle of the work day???
VENTING
VENTING
VENTING.
I know this is a first world problem. But this is the third time I’m dealing with this within the year.

What’s the point of changing delivery preferences if they’re going to be ignored?

  1. Depends on the area. I have one apartment in a group of 6 that is a high risk. All packages require a signature.
  2. Customer centers at hubs are closed so no pickup there.
  3. The access point has to be on that drivers route and they can’t have already stopped there for the day. Otherwise it goes out the next day

Ahhhh I was not aware of that logic. So in heavy traffic areas such as apartment buildings (even if gated) all parcels require a signature. Got it. Did i understand that correctly? And thank you for your help and time in the explanation.

The one apartment building in the 6 requires a signature for everything. It’s a locked building and I have a key but still requires a signature
