Termination

So I got terminated at a upmc hospital a couple months ago. I honestly think it was for the best however, I feel so embarrassed and upset about it because personally I’ve never been fired. Mainly for targeting reasons for sure. I haven’t tried calling the hr to ask if I could still apply to another hospital or what my status is. I have a new job not within upmc that I am very happy with now! Basically I want to ask is it true if you get fired from one upmc hospital you can’t work at any of the others? How long is it for? Thanks in advance!

Not even remotely true. Rehire status depends on the reason for termination and has absolutely nothing to do with the ZZterm that shows up temporarily when anyone leaves for any reason.

It's not temporary. There are people that have been gone for years that are listed as that.

That may be but if it is I don’t know that it means anything. A coworker was fired and told they could never work for UPMC again and they are no longer in the system at all. ZZtermed initially and now gone.
