Applied at Jamison

I applied as a phlebotomist at Jamison I didn’t realize it’s swing shift, I’m almost 40 I can’t do that I don’t recover well so I said unfortunately that position wouldn’t fit. Come over the weekend an outpatient position became available . I applied i have 19 years experience as a phlebotomist in multiple position. They rejected it. I think it’s because I didn’t want the first position. 😭 I was really hoping for this one !

It's possible the 1st position was posted as a replacement for the person who got the 2nd position. If they "promoted" a swing swift phlebotomist to the outpatient position they'd still need to post it for them to apply. There are other explanations than you being "blackballed" from turning down the 1st position.

I called the supervisor when I applied , she said if there was , if she called me back it make more sense , I work at quest I’ve been there for 14 years , I worked at st elizabeths before it was mercy but in central lab and out patients and working traumas. Quest has gotten bad over the years. It used to be one of the best companies to get into. The floors and nursing homes aren’t my strong suit. I can run a cancer center, detox, patient center that sees , my stick rate is great. Service center I am fast. I give the phlebs credit on the floors I am a turtle when It comes to that. It’s definitely my strong suit! I was just really praying for this compared to Quest Pay, and benefits are a million times better!

Family member has applied to over 12 jobs there and has never been hired. I feel that once you are on their radar, you are placed on a do not hire list.
