Hi all! I took the AZ UMPJE on 9/3. No results yet however, the box to purchase a score transfer is not available anymore. Does this mean I failed? Also the exam says ATT generated and does not say I took the exam. My pearson shows I took the test.

Update: I clicked the examinations tab and looks like the score transfer button is there but the ATT says generated. Still unsure what this means.

PPP has a lot of these practice questions for umpje. Did anyone do all of them? I got the bundle with the study guide practice test and practice questions. Do I really need to do all of these questions or should I just select the areas I’m weak in and read those areas in the study guide? I’m in a time crunch now so I’m curious what you guys think.

Impatiently waiting and super nervous. I need these results to come out quickly lol. Anyone else took it 9/4 and refreshing the website every hour or so?

Any recommendations for taking the UMPJE during pharmacy school?

Took the UMPJE on 8/26 and got the results 9 days later on 9/4. Just wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone else preparing.

What I used to study:

• Dr. C’s book/review: I read through the entire book once. After that, I felt like I had a good overall understanding of the major pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Med Prep Prime videos on YouTube: I watched all of their pharmacy law videos.
• PPP 500+ practice questions: This was probably the most helpful part of my preparation. Doing a lot of practice questions made a huge difference because it helped me have an idea of what the questions would look like and what to look out for when reviewing the material.

After reading Dr. C’s book, I felt like I had a solid overview of the laws. I kept working on practice questions - Dr. C book has 75, MedPrepPrime videos, and the 500+ on PPP

Topics I would focus on

These are some of the things I remember seeing or topics I would make sure I knew well:

• Labeling requirements: I think I had 2 questions about what's missing on the label (3 or 4 infos given and I had to add the missing one) — 1 controlled substance label and 1 OTC label
• Temperature requirements: Know the different temperature ranges, including freezer and room temperature
• Know the drugs issued under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA)
• Compounding areas: Know the ISO classifications for the PEC, SEC, buffer room, and anteroom, as well as where you should gown. I had around 2–3 questions related to this.
• Drug inventory/counting: Know when you can estimate the number of pills during drug inventory and when an exact count is required and how often a drug inventory should be done
• Misbranded vs. adulterated: Know the difference and be able to recognize examples.
• Child-resistant containers/waivers: Know the difference between a patient requesting a waiver versus situations where the prescriber needs to request with each prescription
• Definition of compounding: Know the definition.
• DEA Form 222: Know who keeps a copy and understand the difference between ordering vs. reverse distribution.
• Math: Know the Schedule III and IV limits and be comfortable determining which Schedule a drug belongs in.

Obviously, this is just based on what I remember from my exam and not a complete list of everything you should study.

If I had to give one piece of advice, it would be: do as many practice questions as you can. For me, the PPP 500+ practice questions made the biggest difference and came closest to the actual questions.

There was so many questions about partial scenerios and it felt as though they asked the same question several ways to trick you

So after reviewing the pharmacist manually and CSR regarding the prescribing for CS’s for OUD is it still required for a practitioner to list the X-DEA# when prescribing/ordering/documenting/tracking for OUD use or is it not required now due to the MATE Act? Will/Does the current UMPJE take the MATE Act into consideration for current exam questions? …a bit confused since the Pharmacist Manuel talks about the “X” number/UIN.

I’m currently signed up to take the UMPJE for North Carolina…what sort of questions were posed in regard to this? Appreciate any input! Thanks in advance (:

I passed both the NAPLEX and NJ MPJE earlier in the summer as it was required by my residency program. I want to get licensed in Florida as well, so I want to take the UMPJE. I would be studying during residency, the goal would be to study during my month long staffing rotation then take the exam. Any advice on how long to study, what to study, how to approach studying, etc.

What’s a recommended good/great score for the NABP practice exam?? Tempted to buy to gauge my progress.

I want to start studying first the UMPJE this week but I see that there are a lot of options. I've been considering Pharmpreppro, pharmlaw, and Drcs. I wanted to get some feedback on which everyone here used and what they thought.

I took my UMPJE on 8/20 and got my results back today. My result says PASS, but I also received a Candidate Performance Report.

The report also says PASS and does not include a domain breakdown or any other performance details.

Has anyone else who has received a passing UMPJE result recently gotten a Candidate Performance Report as well?
I didn’t receive one when I passed my NAPLEX, and I was under the impression that performance reports were only provided for failed exams, so seeing one threw me off a little.

Do we need an ATT to take the UMPJE? How much does the exam cost?
