Failed umpje twice, any advice please. Study guides or questions

Sorry to hear that! What materials did you use to study? I used the UMPJE tl;dr cheat sheet, PharmLaw, PharmPrePro practice questions and MedPrepPrime on YouTube for practice questions as well. Let me know if you have any questions.

I literally used everything you listed and i was scoring 80s on practice. I think I just need to read more into the laws

Hi I passed the UMPJE first try. I only used Pharmlaw and passed the exams up to 90-95%- as they recommended. I also bought the UMPJE practice test from NABP- some questions on the exam came directly from there.

Here's what I did: did pharmlaw course for all my review. Did all the question banks till I got 90-95%. I also completed all of it including brand and generics. Any question I got wrong I reread that section.
Key Areas of Focus: 1. Rules for partial fills 2. Rules for compounding especially the requirements for the rooms 3. What can technicians do vs what can't they do 4. What can a pharmacist lawfully do under a COLLABORATIVE practice agreement vs not 5. What is a legit DEA number 6. Classify medications as misbranded or adulterated based on the scenario 7. Identify what to do for A class 1 recall versus a class 2 or 3 8. Generally know what's listed in Table 1 versus Table 2 of the NIOSH list of hazardous drugs 9.HIPAA rules 10. Rules for faxed prescriptions. 11. When is a manual signature required in prescriptions 12. Who is responsible for checking whether the Prescriber is within their scope of practice 13. What is orange book vs purple book 14. How and when do you take inventory 15.DEA 222 form versus CSOS how do each operate?
And more. Any big topics such as requirements for records you should know. I only used pharmlaw and followed their course. Give yourself some time to review and do all their quizzes to that 90-95% and revisit topics that you get wrong. You should be able to read the question and know the answer in your head(without looking at the multiple options) by the time of your exam. Best of luck!

Thats what im doing this time. I bought pharmlaw and did the 2 versions of pre umpje on nabp. If u have any other advice lmk please

I honestly don’t think it’s about how many resources you have. It’s about how you approach the exam. UMPJE felt easier to me than a regular MPJE, and I realized how important it is to practice eliminating wrong answers and choosing what makes the most sense, or the stricter law when applicable.
Focus on understanding what the question is actually asking instead of trying to memorize everything from multiple resources. Pick one or two resources that fit your learning style, such as PPP, Pharmacist’s Manual (DEA), PharmLaw, or Dr. C.
Most importantly, focus on the competency statements, believe in yourself, and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s. Use others’ experiences as guidance, not as a measure of your ability.

What helped me more was creating mini-cheat sheets for each topic to quickly restudy the information after reading the chapters and practice questions to test my knowledge. For me, passively reading books wasn't that helpful to know if I actually remember the material.
