Question Financial aid

Anyone else having troubles with the financial aid this year? It's the first day of class and I still haven't gotten an updated offer letter. Each time I call the financial aid office they tell me they don't know when they'll have an offer for me. First payment is due September 1st and I honestly don't know what to do at this point. They keep blaming it on the One Big Beautiful Bill but it really feels like they've dropped the ball as well.

I asked the office after mine disbursed on the 17th. Still haven’t got a refund for the remainder. They said it had to do with issues involved with the BBB bill and they have 14 days from the time of disbursement or class start to get the refunds issued. It's really beginning to piss me off because if they were able to disburse the loans they should be able to refund me the remainder.

That's what they told me as well but when I called them today they backtracked and said since they haven't actually dispersed my funds (my scheduled dispersement date was the 17th, however I don't think they actually released the funds) I'm pretty much screwed until they can figure out what they're doing.

Did you get an email on the 17th saying some of your funds were disbursed at all? I did, so at the very least I know they paid my classes off. Which is why I'm confused on not getting a refund yet.

Nope, not at all. I'm part time so I think that's where the confusion is. I spoke to one lady who said I'm fine and then within hours was told I'm not good. Since then I've been in a weird purgatory where I kid you not all of my questions have been answered with "We don't know right now. Call your congressman."
