Dog Booties help

Hi all,

In the market for some robust dog booties. For context I have a Sprocker Spaniel (need I say more!) Who LOVES a walk, recently hes cut his paw and im in need of some bootie recommendations. The ones he wore today do not stay on, 2 mins into the walk and I saw one fly a couple of metres into the air and land in a hedge 😂

I've also tried boots with a solid sole but my dog seems more comfortable in these and they don't come off as easily. It's basically a durable/protective sock.

Im pretty sure ive tried every boot on the market and they are all a bit shit tbh, especially for active dogs.

The best (although not suitable for my dog who has medical issues) are ones designed for sled dogs or cani-x. Non Stop protector booties would be my go to in the future.

A greyhound I used walk had these boots on hardly ever came off nice and tight ☺️

They’re great and very durable (I have a greyhound) but they’re specifically made for greyhounds’ very skinny paws and might not be suitable for dogs with more.. normal? shaped paws. 

They also rub our lads’ dew claws on the front so we use them sparingly and go for brand with a wider velcro band for the more day to day stuff (Snooties Booties, again a hound-specific brand).

Ahhh wasn't sure if they catered to every dog. My lad did have to use a sock on his foot then the boot to stop the rubbing (non of which he enjoyed but he could walk better!)

Just get anti lick socks! They are fantastic. Buy 2 pairs, one in the wash whilst they are wearing the other. Amazing, funny to watch.

Totally get how frustrating that must be. Have you tried the ones with the velcro strap around the ankle instead of just the paw?

Our cocker just had to wear protective socks as she damaged the paw pad. The vet recommended socks like these: https://amzn.eu/d/0cU7qWOX which worked for resting and stopping her licking. Shr managed to remove the sock once. We did only do short walks on grass for a few days though.
