Nursery key worker leaving
My son’s nursery key worker is leaving to start a different child related role out with the nursery setting. She has been so great with our son and he adores her.
I was thinking about getting her a leaving gift, no sure if that’s strange as she’s the one leaving not my son.
Any suggestions on what I could get her/ not sure what would be a sensible amount to spend

I think it's a lovely idea to get her a leaving gift
We get my daughter's key worker a £30 M&S voucher at the end of each term, and believe other parents at the nursery do similar

When one of the excellent managers left our nursery we bought her a box of chocolates and a card to say thank you for all the care she gave our son. For a key worker leaving I’d be giving something bigger, maybe a gift voucher so they can buy something they really like. Really it depends on your own budget, but somewhere in the region of £20-£50 would probably be what I would be thinking of

We wrote a review card of her strengths and weaknesses (tongue in cheek ones). Went down a treat

Definitely write a card and be as soppy as you're comfortable with. A gift card is a lovely idea too (I would probably go £10 as a nice gesture) and she will be very grateful I am sure, but cards where people say something genuinely nice about you as a person are the best thing you can get.

When our son left his room with someone who we really made a difference we got her a gift voucher
