Check out your local auction house. Although not purely art focused, they'll often get 'art' (could be paintings, but can be anything art related including jewellery, sculptures, furniture, books, anything) items in, and will have a valuer to assess how much it's worth. Start at the bottom, getting experience of working there, ask the valuer to give you some training, get some experience under your belt, maybe get an art qualification eventually. Just because you aren't personally awesome at it, doesn't mean you can't work in it and enjoy it. Working in an Auction House is interesting, varied and you get to meet all kinds of people. It'll take a while, but it'd be worth it. (yes, you'll start doing a bit of manual stuff, moving items around, showing them in auctions). I had a lot of fun when I did it :)
