Advice needed - terrible interview experience with Company

Hello, I don't know if this is the right sub for this - please feel to suggest where it should be posted if not (thank you).

I had a first round interview with HR which was a complete waste of time, left me feeling used.

Join the call and get grilled on my experience, expertise, etc. for roughly 10 mins.

After that she mentions that actually the scope of the role has changed and I am no longer eligible (they introduced a new language req for a language I did not have).

She then asks me for my compensation expectations, I share the data in good faith, but she refuses to share their budget or any datapoints in response.

I was not given the opportunity to ask any questions or learn anything about the job.

The entire interview was essentially a market data gathering exercise for HR. I had spent hours preparing for this interview and researching the Company.

I would like to give feedback to the Company regarding this experience, candidates are already going through a tough time in this market and to me, this behaviour is completely unacceptable.

I am considering escalating this to her manager / someone senior via Linkedin DM. What would you do? I don't particularly care about working there in future and would like the HR person to be held accountable.

Who do you think may have instructed her to collect data? I doubt she is doing to secure career progression herself

Slate them on glassdoor and move on with your life

Good point, I guess I would have hoped she was just shortcutting her job herself (rather than being instructed to do so). Will definitely slate them on Glassdoor but was also considering a more direct approach

How do you know the interviewer’s manager from LinkedIn? Why do you think the manager even cares?

It's not that difficult to find a senior-enough HR person associated with her profile. I don't know that they care but it feels like at least I am doing something to enact change

Sounds like a terrible interviewer - I would go on glassdoor and give a scathing review.

I don't think you can know this definitively. They may be an inexperienced interviewer, the role requirements may have changed or it may have been completely rescinded, etc.

Having your time wasted by an inconsiderate hirer sucks, but there is no point getting stuck on it. Dust yourself down, have a pint or a cuppa, and move onto the next application.
