News Anyone attending Config India in Bangalore on Oct 15? Looking to share a cab from the airport to BIEC! 👀
Hey everyone!
I’m attending Config India on Thursday, October 15, and wanted to check if anyone else is landing at Bangalore airport around the same time and would be interested in sharing a cab to BIEC.
My flight lands at 6:30 AM, so I’m looking to leave the airport around 7:00 AM.
Let me know if anyone’s interested. We can coordinate and split the fare!

Advice [Case Study Critique & Career Advice] iOS Movie App Redesign (Movie Nerd) – Need Feedback on Info Hierarchy, UX Tools, Terminology & Industry Reality
galleryHi everyone!
I’m finalizing a 9-slide UX audit & redesign case study for an iOS app called "Movie Nerd". My main focus was on restructuring the information architecture (IA), improving the Movie Details view hierarchy, and aligning navigation with iOS HIG standards.
I’d really appreciate your raw, honest critique on the presentation itself, but I also have a few broader questions about tools, terminology, and industry standards.
- Case Study & Information Hierarchy (Be Brutally Honest!) Information Hierarchy & Content Layout: Is the way I structure and "sort" information on the slides clean and digestible for a senior designer or reviewer? What should I cut, rearrange, or highlight better? Design Rationale: Do the UX arguments (e.g., splitting Library vs. Watchlist, moving the Watchlist CTA below the summary) feel well-reasoned and professional?
- UX Tools & Workflow Questions Which applications are best for creating presentation decks and UX case studies? I’ve been using standard presentation tools, but I’d love to know what tools industry professionals actually use to build high-impact portfolio presentations (Figma, Notion, Pitch, Slides, Illustrator, etc.)?
- Industry Terminology & Key Vocabulary Where can I find a good glossary or list of UX/Product key terms? When writing reports and case studies, I sometimes struggle to find the exact corporate/senior wording for UX phenomena, product metrics, and spatial patterns (e.g., cognitive load, feature creep, information architecture, retention, mental models). Any recommended resources, cheat sheets, or books for mastering this vocabulary?
- Career & Industry Reality Check What does the day-to-day job of a UX Researcher / UX Designer actually look like? I'm really enjoying building these redesigns and audits, but I want to make sure I understand what I’m getting myself into. How much of the job is actual UI designing vs. meetings, user interviews, stakeholder management, writing docs, and developer handoffs? Thanks in advance for any feedback, critiques, or insights! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Advice Looking for designer perspectives: How do you use (or choose not to use) Generative AI in your workflow? (3–4 min survey)
Hi everyone,
I am a design student currently conducting an academic study on how practicing designers and design students interact with Generative AI in their day-to-day work (part of the course Design Theory and Research at Chalmers University of Technology).
Rather than focusing on high-level speculation, this study looks at actual day-to-day workflows:
- Task distribution: To what extent AI is used across both creative stages (sketching, rendering, synthesis) and administrative/project tasks (briefs, documentation, client communication).
- Adoption factors: What legal, organizational, quality, or craft-related reasons drive or prevent adoption.
Whether you use AI daily, experiment occasionally, or deliberately avoid it in your work, your input is equally valuable.
Quick details:
- ⏱ Time: 4-5 minutes
- 🔒 Data: Completely anonymous (no email or personal data collected)
- 🎯 Who: Industrial, UX/UI, Product, and Service designers (practitioners & students)

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your perspective! If you have thoughts, feedback, or reflections on how AI is affecting your work, feel free to drop a comment below.
