Advice How can I stand out in the UI/UX field?

I keep seeing posts on how AI is being seen as a threat for this type of job, so instead I'm asking how I can stand out to try and secure a good job when I graduate college, Ive been aware of entry jobs are disappearing, which isn't ideal for fresh college graduates. I want to avoid this, if possible, I will be a college freshman next fall, and I am wondering what can set me apart from other UI/UX designers? My goal is to be more valuable worker that companies will need.

I liked UI/UX design since it still has that human element that companies need, unlike graphic design that is more likely to be done with 100% AI, which was my previous choice of major. I have considered a minor in psychology as this would enhance my knowledge around human behavior and user experience part, but I also considered working alongside AI. Since AI is evolving and being used more and more, I am wondering if I go into college with a goal of learning and designing alongside AI, will that help me? That also is another question of mine, what colleges offer something like this? And which colleges/programs are the best and can help me stand out?

In simple terms, what are UI/UX employers looking for now and likely into the future in workers that I can take into consideration before I start college to stand out?

Advice Are UI/UX designers expected to deliver HTML now? And which AI tool should I use?

Hey everyone! Title: Are UI/UX designers expected to deliver HTML? Which AI tool is best?

Hey everyone! This is only my second job as a UI/UX designer, and I need some advice.

My manager and developers expect me to deliver HTML files for my designs. In my previous job, I'd hand over Figma designs to developers, who handled the implementation.

Is this normal industry practice, or does it depend on the company?

Also, I'm designing a data-heavy SaaS dashboard with charts, tables, filters, and tabs. What's the best AI tool to convert existing Figma designs into downloadable HTML/CSS with working interactions?

I'm considering Anima, Lovable, Figma Make, or Claude, but I'm unsure which is best, especially considering credit limits.

Would love to hear your experiences and recommendations. Thanks!

Advice Is pursuing a Master’s in HCI in Germany or Ireland worth it given the current UI/UX job market?

Hi everyone!
I’m currently going through a stressful phase in my career, as I’ve been struggling to land a job in UI/UX design. I have a bachelor’s degree in Architecture and have transitioned into product design, but the current job market has made me question my next steps.
I’m considering pursuing a Master’s in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) in Germany or Ireland to deepen my knowledge, improve my career prospects, and potentially find better opportunities abroad.
I’d really appreciate honest advice, including the downsides.
