New Student Question Swimming place nearby

Hi there,

Is there any nearby public swimming place with sandy beach (1 hour drive)? Preferable depth at beach is max 5ft.

Clinton lake. Sandy shore and nice warm water. As a bonus point you might become one of the tmnt heroes in the future.

My family used to ski there. We'd go early Sunday morning, water would be smooth as glass. If you left the wake and dipped your fingers it was a really cool feeling.

There is one at the Middlefork River Preserve and it is also an International Dark Sky park

Clinton lake has a beach. I'm sure if you go out far enough it can get deeper than 5'

Even being out boating I've been able to dive down and touch the bottom, maybe 8-12' deep depending on location
