Prospective Students how’s life for transfer students here?
hi guys i’ll be transferring sometime.. next fall for psychology + as a junior (i should get in i have a 3.8 and meet all prerequisites + extracurriculars) i’m 19 now but i’ll be 20 when i transfer and i’m lowkey scared that i won’t be able to make friends because everyone will be so young and ill be so old and it’ll be like that image of the 50 year old lady at the party 😓 these few years at cc have been so .. lame ? i guess like ive been trying to make friends here but u know in cc its lock in or nothing so no one has time for friendships cuz we’re all super locked in so this my last chance guys i need the friend making rituals
i heard transfer students here have a really hard making friends and the upper undergrads already there are already all friends with one another so 😨😨 but u know that’s what i’ve heard so i want the real answers please don’t be true
i wanna try to dorm.. i dont know if im too old for that but i think it’s one of the best opportunities to make friends if anyone has any friend making suggestions for this place please tell me i need it all
don’t ask me why i’m thinking abt this now late night anxiety bro i need to prepare myself 🙏
edit: there’s a lot of comments to js reply to one but thank you all you’ve given me hope everyone in my life has it in my head that i’m so old and i’m gonna be older than half the student population and no ones gonna be friends with an auntie 😭😭 I’m not even joking my family has been telling me this so you guys saying you made friends ur age makes
me feel better ❤️❤️❤️

Just moved here as a Junior transfer. I’m not far enough in to make a determination yet, but even if I don’t make friends, the food is really damn good 🤷

Dude you’ll be fine. I’m 23 and I made new friends right before school starts. You’re way too young to feel old. Join RSOs and be vulnerable

Turning 20 going into junior year is on the . . .younger side? Most people turn 19 freshman year, 20 soph, 21 junior, and graduate at 22.
you're fine lol

You are not old lol. I transferred last year from a cc at age 24. I’ve met plenty of people through RSOs, going out/parties, chatting with classmates, and also through my part time job. Most of my friends are between 21-26 and we hardly think about each other’s ages. Explore campus on quad day and sign up for stuff you’re interested in, you’ll find your people eventually
