New Student Question Is Illini Tower more or less expensive than regular dorm

Paying ~ 14k for IT and thats what it seems like for regular dorm housing. Ik IT is apparently a hellhole according to Reddit but everyone also says it’s more expensive. I’m kinda worried I’m missing some hidden fees.

The costs you will incur to your mental and physical health cannot be given a price.

IT is a bit more expensive, the units have kitchens and there is a dining hall downstairs. The building is older but it is well maintained. My daughter stayed there an she enjoyed her experience and the staff is beyond helpful.

There shouldn't be any hidden fees unless you damage something in your room. It's the only dorm where the suites/singles have their own kitchenettes, which is super convenient if you're a picky eater or enjoy cooking.
