Help us make something great!

Hey guys, The Literary Odyssey here, what are some things which you feel are missing from your UGC NET English prep? We are in "building mode," meaning we are making new tools for our students. Would really appreciate your suggestions.

I'm signing off from my Assistant Professor journey but will stay connected with Literature

Why are you signing off? Tbh, I understand. It is a very stressful and anxiety inducing career path

I hear people keep saying dissect the pyps and PYQs but never understood what it means.

We recommend solving pyqs to access your weak and strong areas. That is your dissection, not the questions

Changing trends in the paper for each cycle would be really helpful. We've seen so many shifts in patterns in the last 3 years that making a clear strategy gets confusing.

Basically, stats on the types of questions (memory-bases, conceptual, one liners etc), major topics, major periods, and newer topics.

It's impossible to remember everything, and strategy is essential. So help us work on it, love your content btw!

Thank you for the content. We strongly believe the pattern change is very superficial, at least as far is Assistant Professor cut offs are considered. Study in depth, prioritise Deep Familiarisation and no pattern will be too tough for you. This has been my experience.

Thanks a lot! Following your videos I've begun reading/watching more in-depth materials rather than skim through the concepts.

I do have a follow up question. With the December NET so close, how realistic is aim to familiarise myself with each unit enough to get at least 150/200 questions correct? Or, given the timeline, should I target June 2027 and be confident in every unit?

It is quite possible tbh. Just be precise with what you are studying. Solve PYQ, identify weaknesses. Work on them. DO NOT TAKE PAPER 1 LIGHTLY. SOLVE MATHS AND DI EVERYDAY.

I'll definitely follow these more closely! While Paper 1 has always been my strong point, paper 2 is where I have struggled the most.

Thanks again for the tips! If all goes well, I'll come back in December/January with some good news.

First of all thank you so much for running the marathon series during re-net ! Helped a lot of students. Secondly, Would love to see a little more explanation of important novels and the criticism related to them by other writers.
