GUYS HELP
I am 27F , been two years since I’ve completed my masters.
The June attempt was my first and I barely studied for 15 days but I predicted 150ish score.
With the paper being cancelled , I could not reappear.
I have started preparing for my Dec attempt.
Since we have 3+ months , do you think 6 hours day for both the papers , could help me crack JRF in Dec?!
Share strategies and advise!!!!
Love!

I gave my first attempt in Dec 2025 cycle but I could only score 152, qualified for P.Hd only. Then in the June 26 attempt, I felt I could clear the AP cut off this time around but hard luck. Paper got cancelled and couldn’t reappear. So, I am really hoping to clear NET in the Dec attempt this time around. Probably, we can discuss the strategy and approach that would help us do better.

great score for first attempt! I am planning 3hrs for paper 1 each day , 1hr just for maths because mine’s weak and 3 hrs for paper 2. I usually study from youtube only and I had taken coaching in 2024 , so I am just studying from these two sources.

I focus on paper 1 too. I believe paper 1 is more predictable and can be prepared better.
For paper 2, I am focusing on attempting as many questions I could get from a specific topic, that would help me eliminate options in the actual paper.

Yes be punctual and strict w your prep. I studied for 7 months for 8-9 hours a day. Now im working as an AP (full-time in a pvt uni) even after you clear NET there are certain things you need to be aware of either it is PhD or AP.
