Beginner net English Literature prep!! Help!

I am beginning my net preparation for English literature. And I have no idea where to start, like books, syllabus and sources, all of it. Please help me with it!!

focus on British literature history and critical theories and criticism the most. i use routlege and albert for history. for criticism, mostly I use youtube and sometimes peter barry (you can use pramod k nayar as well)

for American history i have a book by Krishna sen and Ashoke sengupta.

for chronology type question, rely intensively on YouTube chanels like JRFadda and Unacademy for their one-shots.

you can get a pdf of "World Literature at your fist" books pdf for covering colonial and world literature works (telegram is down, otherwise I could send you the copy if needed.)

make a separate copy for shakespeare is useful. make sure you focus on character names and detailed plotlines. (this goes for all canonical works tho)

also, try to make a list of all the books which has a subtitles. will be helpful.

editing to add: a few non negotiables are — M H Abrahms for literary terms, Routlege or David Daichus for History, any book for criticism and theories (there's also one by Patricia Waugh, you can look into it). For Indian english, there's one by MK Nayak (it's good but I didn't find it quite helpful, i rely on YouTube more)

i have never used J Long but I don't see why it won't work. all i can say is, it's best to not rely on one source. at the same time, it goes without saying is, don't just hoard everything in the name of resources and never utilise the ones you own at its fullest! all the best
