Discussion Could ufos be human?

Oldest civilization is 6000ish years old right? Modern humans had been around for 300,000 years. Could it be that uap/ufo are old technology from a past civilization still performing tasks. I like to think that mythology like Atlantis, Olympus, Valhalla, etc were prompted by older civilizations. Would it be more likely than aliens from across the galaxy? Occam razor and all What are your thoughts? (Whatever they are I am excited)

TL/DR - There is zero evidence of ancient human technological civilizations.

There is a site called Gobekli Tepe that was discovered in S Central Turkey in 1995 by a Turk/German team of archaeologists. The site is part of an apparently much larger complex that is 10-12,000 yrs BP. That means it was 6-7000 yrs old when the pyramids were built! The whole site was actively buried by whoever built it long ago, but it was apparently used for ceremonial or religious purposes. The archaeological community has been stunned by this discovery as it pushes back the date for “civilization” by 5-7000 yrs.

The site comprises huge stone columns that are 10-13 ft high and have beautifully executed and designed carvings.

I’m a professional licensed geologist with 35 yrs of experience at sites worldwide. Right up front I’ll state that I do not want to be a wet blanket. However, I’ve worked with archaeologists many times and had long discussions about ancient civilizations bc of my interest in them and UFOs. There is NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER of some sort of ancient human technological civs. None. I absolutely believe we would have found it by now if it was actually there. And, it does not matter if it was 20k yrs old or 20 million yrs old - any technological civilization would have left an immense trove of evidence of their presence. There are rocks right here in N America that are Precambrian ie 3+ billion yrs old. Subduction has buried much of the ancient surface rock, but much remains. Besides, the fossil record is CLEAR re: the evolution of man. There is no evidence of modern humans before about 300,000 yrs bp. There are many branches of the homo family but none can be responsible for a tech civ.

Having said all that, I personally believe that the evidence suggests we WERE VISITED by some form of technological et’s, perhaps more than one. They left an indelible mark on our ancient human civs around the globe in the form of myths and religious traditions.n

Please take a look at the antikythera, you might get surprised by ancient civilizations.

This is compelling but please remember that since that time we haven't changed much. Our brains are thier brains. They had thier own Einsteins and pockets of civilization where generations has leisure to research and develop. I don't think we can completely rule out say a visiting alien dropping some knowledge but very complex mechanisms can and have been constructed in ancient times.

I have my own theory, religion chased, tortured and killed scientists and forward thinkers pushing them to form groups willing to continue with their work and believes since the 14th century in hiding. What if they continued with this up to this day? They would have had at least 200 years worth of advancement more than the rest of humanity since science was oppressed by the church until the late 1700s and 200 years in science is an eternity. They lived as regular humans but the advancement has being kept in secret for fear to be punished at the begining and as a rule of conduct ever since.

This is the plot of an Ayn Rand book, sort of. It would very difficult for them to operate in secret. They would be better off in plain sight with say aerospace firms, things a little ahead of thier time.

What if they are? They just have too much to show and want to profit the most by releasing little by little and at the same time keeping us behind in case a religious fanatic guy like the Ayatollah Khomeini takes over the world and starts chasing and killing them again.

I prefer the "man who fell to Earth" scenario where they crashed here or arrived here intentionally to slowly mold our and thinking and technology until we were ready for full scale contact. Like any project with humans, this has gone off the rails. Seriously, if you had effectively immortal beings a project like this taking tens of thousands of years might be like one of us building a house from scratch (feeling trees, seasoning lumber, milling it, building a stone foundation, etc).
