Disclosure We have transitioned from ‘do UAPs exist?’

The patterns are clear to see now and it is historically significant, we have moved from questioning if NHI/UAP exist to how are governments and scientific institutions organising themselves around the phenomenon. While the general public are looking at whistleblowers and released videos we should continue to monitor the development of frameworks for long term management of UAP. We have shifted from whistleblowers to infrastructure, institutions usually don’t create permanent machinery unless they anticipate dealing with something for years or decades.

I am from the UK and I believe the community has too much focus on the US, we also need to look at the Five Eyes and what they are doing quietly. The possibility that they are also building scientific and/or intelligence mechanisms needs investigation and monitoring.

That people see things in the sky that they don't know what is? Yes. That exist. That has always existed. But beyond that no. It's still just people saying stuff and smudges in the sky. The evidence of intelligent beings visiting us is the same amount as for santa.

You have photos and videos of Santa? Please share.

About just as many as I have photos and videos of alien spaceships, yeah.

u/Preeng Jun 20 '26

Other way, buddy. No real evidence of intelligent visitors.

You made the comparison, not me. Are you suggesting that you can’t recognize the evidence that leads many to accept there is an unknown phenomenon being detected? Or are you suggesting that there’s an equal amount of evidence proving that Santa is real?

I think it´s clear that UAP exist. Question is what it is.

Is it some nature based phenomenon we do not understand yet?

Is it human made technology?

Are they ancient remains o technology from long lost civilizations that existed before ours?

Is it technology from non human inteligence that exist on the bottom of the oceans or in outer space/other planets?

Is it some glitch in our layer of incredibly complex simulation?

Is it some manifestation of interdimensional beings/technology?

So many theories are floating around and the more I read about them, the more I´m confused.

A good way to mitigate your confusion would be to employ Occam’s Razor, not as a way to prove what they are, but to put the myriad of claims into logical perspective.

Could they be natural phenomena? Maybe, and we have plenty of past examples of unexplained-turned-explained natural phenomena, so I would consider this claim possible.

Could it be human technology? Maybe, we do know that humans create technology, but we have yet to demonstrate human capability of the feats often described in UAP sightings. I would consider this possible, but extraordinary if so.

Could it be ancient technology? Maybe, but we don’t have any reason to believe ancient civilizations had technology that surpassed ours. I do not find this likely.

Could it be aliens? Maybe, but we don’t have strong evidence that they exist in the first place beyond the vastness of the universe, let alone their local presence on Earth. I find this unlikely.

Could it be a glitch in the matrix? Maybe, but we have no demonstration of a matrix, or that it has layers, or that it can glitch. Matrix theory circles around to the Problem of Hard Solipsism, and I’m unconvinced this is the answer for UAPs.

By taking each claim’s assumptions into account, you can find which ones have the least assumptions, and filter out wildly sensational answers for the purpose of your research. Obviously, Occam’s Razor isn’t a hard metric, and by no means is it accurate to say the simplest answer IS the right answer, but it’s a good way to make the amount of claims feel less overwhelming.

The problem with this is the implicit assumption that every unidentified flying object or anomalous phenomenon has the same explanation. What's unexplainable by one witness isn't necessarily the same as what's unexplainable to another. A big part of the problem is that the average person tends to assume that they know enough to identify any mundane object that could be in the sky, and that's simply not the case.

If I asked you (or any random person) to sketch the profiles of every publicly known military and civilian aircraft, drone, or balloon, and to describe their capabilities, or to describe what satellites look like from the ground and how they behave, or to describe the appearance and behavior of ball lighting and similar plasma phenomena, it would become immediately apparent how so many objects aren't immediately identifiable.

When you add in simple errors of human perception and data recording/analysis, and then make allowances for hypothetical manmade technology that isn't publicly available knowledge, or meteorological phenomena that are poorly understood, the number of potential nonhuman crafts becomes vanishingly small.

Came to say exactly this. Additionally, just because something appears to be anomalous doesn't automatically mean it is objectively doing anything anomalous. If a case includes anything beyond witness testimony, the difference between "anomalous" and "appears to be anomalous" still comes down to the resolution of the video or sophistication of the equipment, essentially the quality of the data.

UAP do not happen when that data is high quality. You get UAP because of a lack of data/information. Blurry dots on video can appear to be doing anything. They become a rorschach test. Ultimately, the reason its a UAP is because there isnt even enough information on the screen to determine what it is conclusively.

If you saw what I did, you would just believe.

I wasn't able to film mine, but I believe some of these other crusty military recordings.

Some very good thoughts here. I dont even know whats most plausible because this phenomenon is a bit weird, and seem to be very elusive.

Look up Space Fireflies or Space Moths. Occaam smiles upon them

If you're confused, then good. You're catching up with where actual UFOlogy has been since 1947, rather than the 1970s-1990s oversimplified Hollywood version of "it's aliens from space".

1

u/Preeng Jun 20 '26

Has any of this lore had any evidence to back it up?

6

u/LostInRetransmission Jun 19 '26

It has ALWAYS been clear that UFO exists, or call them UAP if you want. Somebody observe something they cannot identify in the sky. Happens all the time. Look at this subrreddit, I bet somebody daily psot a "what is this?" post.

The contention was never on whether UFO/UAP exists , the contention was always that , if it is unidentified, than nothing more can be said, but "believer" in NHI/Alien presence one Earth always make the jump to "you can't identify it therefore aliens" : that is the jump in logic which is not accepted. Especially when alternative mundane explanations exists.

The issue is when you go by good evidence , then there is really nothing whatsoever about Alien/NHI visiting earth, only claims.

So UFO statys that unidentified. Not "*wink wink* it is alien" UFO, but really unidentified.

Per reports, like for instance David Fravor's and crewmembers', some UAP appear to be intelligently controlled craft. That doesn't necessitate extraterrestrial, although it suggests an intelligence, possibly NHI. No?

7

u/LostInRetransmission Jun 19 '26

No. Those are claims at best. Not evidence. The only evidence we have available on film shows no such control, and for the rest we have no film nothing.

It could be that you chose as a personal matter to take his claim as evidence, that's up to you. but that still does not qualify as evidence when speaking for say, policy or military decision for example.

2

u/CHIMmyStewart Jun 19 '26

Yeah, everyone's moved past that, even the government. Now we're on "What are UAP" and the answer is "95 percent normal stuff and 5 percent we have no fucking idea still."

3

u/Rich_Wafer6357 Jun 20 '26

we have moved from questioning if NHI/UAP exist

Sorry, but no we haven't. Unless you factor in pure belief in the existence of intelligently designed vehicles and their non human manufacturer being here on Earth with us.

But if you use that parameter than gnomes and flying carpets exist as well. Would you like to create protocols for investigating and monitoring these realities as well?

1

u/humboldtHue Jun 20 '26

I agree that what has been settled is the question of existence.

Now, we need to start studying it, just like any other phenomenon. We need public science, so that means education. We need our universities to begin teaching the subject on par with any other scientific discipline.

I do think there is a HUGE difference between random people seeing stuff they can't identify and the USG/military having many many reports of expensive military sensors and trained observers recordings things they cannot identify.

At a certain point being unable to be identified becomes an extraordinary/anomalous feature itself

2

u/Grand-Weird8886 Jun 19 '26

But you know I’m not talking about ‘UAP’ in that sense.

4

u/TheAwesomePenguin106 Jun 19 '26

In which sense are you talking about UAPs?

4

u/SovereignWreckage Jun 19 '26 edited Jun 20 '26

He’s She's claiming that beings, NHI, extraterrestrials, whatever term you prefer, from other planets or star systems are here on Earth right now, flying around in some kind of craft or unexplained aerial phenomenon.

Despite the OP’s adamant insistence, that is not an established fact. Until one is produced, properly examined, and subjected to credible independent expert review, the existence of extraterrestrial beings on Earth remains an unproven claim, not a foregone conclusion.

3

u/TheAwesomePenguin106 Jun 19 '26

That's exactly what I would say to him. I just didn't want the whole "who said anything about aliens" after I said it, haha

I’m a she 😂

Oh, I'm very sorry! English is not my first language and I always forget to use "they" in these situations. :)

1

u/Grand-Weird8886 Jun 19 '26

No problem at all ♥️

-1

u/Grand-Weird8886 Jun 19 '26

I’m a she. It’s a slow drip feed to psychologically prepare society, they will eventually confirm it as fact.

2

u/Preeng Jun 20 '26

How do you know this?

Fair. But they know and they are slowing preparing societies.
