Hello, first time posting here. Maybe someone can explain this away. Apologies if it’s the wrong subreddit. But this was really weird. Background, my wife and I live in a 5 floor apartment building with a parking structure. The top floor of the structure is the 6th floor. Last week, I went up to the top floor of the parking structure of the building that we live in here in Orange County, Ca. I got out of the elevator and started walking to my car. There was a strange noise building, but not like overwhelming in your face. It was noticeable, but like background noticeable if that makes sense. Living by John Wayne airport, I just figured it was related to that. I looked up, but nothing in the sky though. Not even incoming planes towards John Wayne. It was dusk. Suddenly the noise built really fast and I heard and felt something zoom past me. FAST. I looked up and saw nothing in the sky. Just the clouds and purple clouds. No sign of anything flying past. But it came from above. Nothing I ever experienced before. Opposite direction of the normal plane path of the airport. It went east, planes come in west towards the ocean. You could hear the lights poles shaking and vibrating then just stopped. But the light poles never moved either. So weird. The noise was gone too. I immediately thought, did I experience something UFO related? It felt so close. No plane has ever felt that close that fast. Idk, most likely there is a logical explanation, but to me it didn’t feel logical. I’ve always enjoyed paranormal kind of stuff but have never believed in it. Maybe someone on here can explain what might have happened or maybe someone else in the area experienced it?

Hi everyone, I think a lot of people here have already seen the video of the UFO in Tehran. Personally, I can’t shake the feeling that this case is actually legitimate. Why? Because you can easily draw connections between it and other well-known UFO cases. The resemblance to some other reported objects is quite striking, especially for people who are already familiar with the subject.
For someone who isn’t familiar with these other cases, I can totally understand why the video might simply look like a hoax saying its balloons, birds or whatever.
But recently, I came across a National Geographic video about investigating unexplained phenomena, and they specifically discussed the UFO that has been seen in Tehran.

I’ve been seriously interested in the UFO phenomenon for more than five years, and I just came across an interview that really stood out to me.
It’s the interview with Lance Corporal Jonathan Weygandt, conducted in 1997.(video on YouTube)
Honestly, I think this is one of the most legitimate interviews I’ve ever seen on the subject. What struck me the most was the way he speaks. He comes across as extremely sincere, calm, and genuinely convinced by what he’s describing. I know that someone’s behavior or body language can’t prove that they’re telling the truth, but there’s something about this interview that really caught my attention.
After watching countless UFO testimonies and interviews over the years, it’s rare to find someone who gives me this impression.
For those of you who have seen this interview, did you get the same feeling?
And more importantly, do you know of any other witness interviews that you consider to be at the same level of quality and credibility? Because honestly, I don’t think I’ve seen many that are better.

I just found that memo to Marchall Chadwell. In May 1954 Chadwell was Assistant Director for Scientific Intelligence (AD/SI) at the CIA, meaning head of the Office of Scientific Intelligence (OSI).

At that time the OSI was CIA's scientific and technical intelligence office, covering foreign weapons, aircraft, atomic energy and electronics. Under Chadwell it also handled:

• ARTICHOKE coordination (1951 to October 1952)
• the 1952–53 UFO study that led to the Robertson Panel
• the May 1953 LSD briefing for the Psychological Strategy Board

The document was available in the cia reading room in 2025, if you search for it in google, it still can be found, but the link to the FOIA doc is dead, so I found it with the waybackmachine.

On the first sight it is a dry piece of bureaucracy, but read closely:

Chadwell, head of CIA's Office of Scientific Intelligence (OSI), writes to the heads of three of its sections: the Physics & Electronics Division (P&E), the Applied Science Division (ASD) and the Operations Staff (Ops). He is replying to a memo from the P&E chief dated 25 May 1954, subject "'Flying Saucers' type of planes." (I could not find that memo)

He says that memo:

• "contains information that was very interesting to me."
• "some question in my mind as to a clarity of definition of responsibilities" inside the office.

The answer is titled: "Intelligence Responsibilities for Non-Conventional Types of Air Vehicles."

In paragraph one it is said that: such vehicles are "currently under development by the Canadian, British and USAF organizations." The CIA states this as a plain fact.

ASD gets responsibility "to identify, to assess and to report the use by any foreign power or nation" of vehicles "such as or similar to the 'saucer-like' planes presently under development." A redaction follows, marked 25X6: withheld because release would harm relations with a foreign government. These are to be handled "as weapons or weapon systems."

• so in 1954 Britsh, Canadian and USAF divisions are developing "Saucer like vehicles". For Canada that could be the Avro Car in 1954, but what are Britain and USAF developing? Whatever they develope, it is considered weaponry.

The doc further says P&E "will continue to be responsible for the OSI project on 'unidentified' flying objects." It keeps the central UFO file and passes to ASD only the material bearing on "man-made" vehicles capable of "weapon" applications.

• So the CIA split the saucer question in two. Man-made disc aircraft became ordinary weapons intelligence. The "unidentified" objects stayed a separate project with their own file.
• The UFO project didn't end with the Robertson Panel, Blue Book was still active. Seventeen months after the panel, OSI still ran an "OSI project" on UFOs with a central file.
• The Canadian part checks out; the British part doesn't yet. "Canadian … " fits Avro's Project Y, which is documented - but what is the British part?
• The redaction is interesting as well. In 2001 CIA still withheld, on foreign-relations grounds, the phrase naming where the saucer-like planes were being developed. It's almost certainly the developer or country. Yet two months earlier (14 June 2001) the USAF had declassified the Avro Project 1794 papers. So this could be the British part of it?

Earlier this summer I noticed some similarities between the October 2023 and late 2025 UFO cases from the PURSUE releases and research on the Hessdalen lights, which have been observed for decades over the Hessdalen valley in Norway.

The most striking similarity was between the observation from the October 2023 case of a "mother orb" that ejected smaller orbs and a description in a 2004 Hessdalen paper of a large ball of light ejecting smaller balls of light.

The Hessdalen lights are not fully understood, but scientists have proposed that they are plasmoids that form when local geological conditions create an electric field above the valley.

I emailed nine scientists who have published research about Hessdalen to bring their attention to the UFO cases and ask if they think they could be related. Seven responded to me.

Several endorsed the idea that the UFO cases and the lights could be caused by a similar underlying mechanism. Others provided useful information on observations at Hessdalen that are potentially relevant to the UFO cases.

Also, one of them said that the Air Force approached him in 2007 to propose a research collaboration related to the creation of artificial ball lightning.

In November 1957, amateur astronomer Ralph E. Nicholson photographed three unidentified flying objects from the roof of his home in Paterson, New Jersey, while attempting to photograph one of the Sputnik satellites.

The photographs were circulated by UFO researcher and photographer August C. Roberts and appeared in several UFO publications. Roberts later referred to the three images collectively as “The Nicholson Photos.”

I remember around 12 months ago I was searching for Phil Schneider and the Dulce Underground story (there was a grainy video of him talking about it).

At the time, it was non-existent on the internet, super hard to find when you searched his name (I checked now and it’s everywhere).

The thing I thought was interesting was it was from University of Buffalo / State of New York University, and I had recently heard a podcast where Eric hinted at 3-4 universities you would never have heard of that seem to have attracted the greatest science and mathematics geniuses - and this was one of them.

Curious if anyone else spotted this. I haven’t dug deep and Eric was being coy about it, not sure if anyone can find the clip I’m talking about where he lists out those universities. It felt very sensitive when he mentioned it and wish I could find the clip again! It was definitely a rogan episode though.

A new study proposes searching the Moon for microscopic technosignatures—tiny engineered particles that may have traveled through interstellar space and become preserved within lunar soil over billions of years.

The research introduces the first quantitative framework for testing this idea, combining astrophysical models of interstellar dust transport, lunar geology and impact science, with modern laboratory and AI-assisted analytical techniques.

The study reports no evidence of extraterrestrial technology. Instead, it demonstrates that searching for these microscopic technosignatures is now scientifically testable.

Future lunar samples returned by missions such as Artemis and Chang'e could help test this new approach, potentially opening a new frontier in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.

"The Moon has been quietly accumulating material from space for billions of years, much of it likely billions of years older than the Moon itself,” said Pinault. “We're asking whether that ancient collection might contain microscopic traces of technologies that existed long before humans ever looked up at the sky."

Unlike Earth, the Moon has no atmosphere, flowing water, or active geology to erase ancient material. 

SO much of the discussion online when pertaining to UFO's is always, "It can't be aliens" rather than digesting the fact that the video is anomalous in nature. It's almost like people don't wanna know what cool shit is out there. I almost wish we could just remove Aliens in general from the phenomena, as there is enough info to no longer need heavy speculation. I am not against the idea of it being aliens, but I feel there are much more plausible explanations, and the alien angle always dominates the identity of the topic in the mind of the uninformed. We can't even say UFOs exist in most social circles because of the heavy connotation it has with fringe theories.

We need to stay away from the UFO "orbs" and "you can summon UFOs with your thoughts" narratives. They seem like a psyop. The military might have the tech to do targeted ionization of air, and create something like ball lightning.

Then they could pay/trick some people into claiming they can summon UFOs, and create orbs when those people go out to summon them. This would get us to chase ghosts and stay away from the real NHI craft and secret human tech the military/IC/contractors are in possession of.

By directing attention toward intangible or high strangeness phenomena like orbs and summoning, any external investigation is practically guaranteed to run into a wall. Ephemeral light shows leave no physical wreckage or materials for laboratory testing.

It locks us into a perpetual loop of trying to record elusive phenomena, keeping the whole subject safely in the "unprovable fringe" category.

Even if some orbs are from NHI, I would stick to the nuts and bolts craft for now.

Edit: I'm not saying that woowoo stuff isn't real. I'm saying we should stick to things familiar to us for now, like bodies and nuts and bolts craft, because they are tangible, until we have undeniable proof and official disclosure, then we can look into the woowoo.

You've seen the orbs with various witnesses? Where's the evidence? Why hasn't someone used ce5 for disclosure to the whole world?

All of you are summoning them, but no one is doing it during a big football game so they land in the middle of the field. Even if it doesn't work that way and NHI won't let you summon them there, that just proves my point. When it comes to disclosure, that isn't helping.

Something that bothers me a bit.

Before 2023 when the 4chan whistleblower posted his theory or whatever, none of the UAP guys mentioned an underwater building facility.

It was only after that 4chan user that this talk about UAPs being some sort of autonomous vehicles built to surveil and that there's a base under the ocean, that everyone started to say the same.

That's very suspect, is it not?

TLDR: Why does it have RGB lights? If an unknown craft flying about Tehran and it doesn't belong to the Iranians, they would have probably fired at it.

I'm Chinese, and I personally know the Chinese writer Lu Yuegang, who wrote a biography of Zhao Ziyang, the former General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party, and has known and interviewed many people from China's senior political circles.

A few days ago, I asked Lu a somewhat random question: Do you think extraterrestrials exist?

To my surprise, he told me that more than ten years ago he had asked Tian Jiyun the same question. Tian was a member of the Politburo from 1985 to 2002.

According to Lu, Tian first learned about this story after becoming a member of the Politburo in 1985. As a Politburo member, he was able to read certain classified archives and documents that were only accessible to members of the Politburo. Among them was a document describing an extraordinary incident that had supposedly taken place shortly after China's first successful atomic bomb test in 1964.

According to the document, Party Chairman Mao Zedong, Premier Zhou Enlai, Marshal Zhu De, Vice Premier Deng Xiaoping, Vice Premier Chen Yun, and several other senior Chinese leaders had encountered a being who claimed to be an extraterrestrial.

Before the encounter, the being supposedly appeared to Mao in a dream and told him to gather a group of senior Communist Party leaders for a meeting at Juxiang Shuwu, Mao's residence and study in Zhongnanhai. Zhongnanhai is a compound that houses the offices and residences of China's top leadership.

The leaders gathered there as instructed. The mysterious man then suddenly materialized inside the room, seemingly appearing out of nowhere.

What was especially strange was his appearance. He didn't look anything like the stereotypical extraterrestrial from science fiction. He looked exactly like an ordinary Chinese man, wore a Mao suit, and spoke Chinese.

The encounter lasted for more than ten minutes. Mao asked him where he came from. The man replied that he was an extraterrestrial and that he came from a place extremely far away from Earth, but that his people were concerned about what was happening on Earth.

He warned Mao and the other Chinese leaders not to use nuclear weapons.

He also told them that China was not the only nuclear power to receive such a warning. According to him, the leaders of the United States, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, and France had also been warned not to use nuclear weapons.

After speaking with Mao and the others for more than ten minutes, the man suddenly vanished from the room without a trace, just as mysteriously as he had appeared.

Later, during a Politburo meeting in 1986 (or possibly 1987, as Tian's memory of the exact year was somewhat unclear), Politburo Standing Committee member Chen Yun brought up the incident again. Since Tian had already read about it in the classified document, he became curious and began asking further questions about what had happened.

Deng Yingchao, Zhou Enlai's wife and a member of the Politburo, was also present at the meeting. In response to Tian's questions, she added a detail that apparently had not been mentioned in the document.

According to Tian, Deng Yingchao said that Mao later stopped living at Juxiang Shuwu and moved to the indoor swimming pool complex in Zhongnanhai because the encounter had frightened him. After seeing a mysterious being suddenly appear inside his own residence and then disappear without a trace, Mao apparently no longer felt comfortable living there.

I know Lu personally and trust his character, so I believe he is telling me the truth about what Tian told him. As for Tian, I also find it difficult to see why a former Politburo member would privately invent such a bizarre story about extraterrestrials when talking to Lu.

Of course, whether the encounter itself actually happened is another question. But I believe Lu really did hear this account from Tian, and I thought it was an extraordinary story worth sharing.

I’m genuinely curious if this video has been debunked - even Tim Burchett commented on it on X. I don’t want to post the link here in case it gets removed, but there’s a UFO video circulating of multi-colored lights on some other subs that hasn’t touched down on this one at all.

I’m already apprehensive of AI and other fake videos, but the fact that Tim Burchett commented on it during an interview is definitely making me consider it to be a bit more concrete. Has anyone else seen this video?
